Geoff_Tipps
Registration opens tomorrow, is anyone doing it this year? Think I am going to give it a bash, never done anything like it so would be a good challenge. Also, got Tough Mudder to 'look forward to' in August. Link to comment
GK55
Myself and my other half are going to give this a go this year. Going to try and raise money for the Neo-natal unit at AMH. 1 Link to comment

Not actually that long a distance when you think about it but worth signing up. As for Tough Mudder, I'm a pussy when it comes to cold water. My mate did it last year and said there's a part where you have to swim through a tank of water and ice - not for me. Link to comment
Ohjimmyjimmy
Did it last year, will do it this year again. Piece of Piss. In what time Rumpus, you should be near the top if its a piece of piss? Link to comment

Bluto10
10km is a good distance. long enough to test but not too long that training for it would require you to be a bore. Link to comment

On that note I've scratched the usual running training for the last two weeks out here to play 7 a side fitba every day. Went for a 10k run last night instead of playing fitba and I've taken just over a couple of minutes off my usual training time. I fly to Vegas the day after this race so won't enter. I fancy the Garioch half marathon on the 24th March though. Link to comment

Will maybe do the Baker Hughes as well, but won't be booking a spot until Aberdeen are out of the cup. Just in case. Are you signed/signing up for Loch Ness this year? Link to comment

Haven't checked the dates or rotation for that yet. Taking it easier this year. Went too gung ho trying for Loch Ness last year and fucked my knee for a while so now back in the swing of things and will tackle a couple of half marathons this year first. What date is the Amsterdam one? Link to comment
Tord31
Just entered for 4th year in a row. I am pretty shit my pb is 50 mins so will be trying to beat that. Link to comment

Went too gung ho trying for Loch Ness last year and fucked my knee for a while so now back in the swing of things and will tackle a couple of half marathons this year first. What date is the Amsterdam one? It is on the 20th October. My last two marathons haven't gone so greatly, because it has been 25 to 30 degrees. So even though both courses were flat compared to Loch Ness, trying to keep hydrated (and preparing for it in Aberdeen's climate) meant they were both noticeably slower going (also not helped by recurring knee injury issues). Thought Amsterdam in October ticks both flat and better climate, to try and work towards a PB this year. Nearer 3 hrs 30 hopefully. Link to comment

Henry
Bluto will be crying into his wheat beer by the end of the week, having caved into his drink dependency.
