Kilkito
Will be fascinating to see how he gets on there, a remarkable guy, and a real gentleman, although think he has some issues, did anyone see the clip of him last night snubbing Ronaldo at some awards ceremony??? Can his approach, the 100% mentality, fining superstars if they are 20 seconds late, and pretty much demanding perfection at all times, work, at a club where he wasn't involved with the youth set up, and none of their players have been brought through this way, hope so, but no way of knowing. Bluto10
Bundesliga > Premier League. i what way? by even making the statement irrespective of the leagues involved i thibk marks you down as a modern day fickle fan. there is no best or better leagues. Link to comment
Dynamo
i what way? by even making the statement irrespective of the leagues involved i thibk marks you down as a modern day fickle fan. there is no best or better leagues. From a fan perspective, the Bundesliga is far superior. Beer at the game (and not just at half time under the stand!), cheap tickets, standing sections, the way the clubs are run (other than Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen). What's not to like? I'd far rather watch a game (actually being there) in Germany than in England. Link to comment
Bluto10
i wonder what options were available to him? real hard cas options i mean. not ones like man who already have a manager. my feeling on him are well known.he will do well to succeed at BM which means there a CL victory. Link to comment
rgudon
2 years at Bayern Munich. In 2 years time Fergie will retire. In 2 years time depending on what Pep has done at Bayern...2 years time Pep will be Man United manager. someone else see's the master plan! Link to comment

rgudon
It seems quite fashionable to wank over german fitba at the moment I genuinely have no idea about German football bar going to a hertha berlin game that I left just after half time because I couldnt feel my feet or hands anymore and the fitbas was utter pish. Seen a few comments on here of best league in the world, entertainment etc, so whats makes it so good? Link to comment

Foster14
As for Hertha game, it was the equivalent of watching Norwich v Newcastle or something like that. Hertha were on their way down already and the crowds at the Olympiastadion were already dwindling. I don't think it was the best game to use as an example of German football. Link to comment

OddJob
Good luck to the guy, seems like a sound guy and ok he didn't exactly have a shit bunch of players at Barca, but really managing to keep all those egos in check and still have the hunger to compete at that level is very admirable and i hope he succeeds there Link to comment

Westhill Red
I think it's a sensible and good move for Guardiola. German football is great! Been to several games involving Eintracht Frankfurt and Mainz, great stadiums, fans are always backing the team, beer is sold, referees are fairly impartial, end to end football and standing sections What more would you want from a football match? I also like the fact at the end of the match the players walk round the whole ground and applaud the fans often getting behind the ultras microphones to congratulate the fans and start one final song. Looks familiar to what some of the images we were shown for our future stadium if it ever happens... Link to comment

This is a prime example of what I hear about German football, the price is good and fan evolvement is good, that's fine for folk who enjoy that sort of thing but what about the actual standard of football? I rarely hear anyone comment on that.... Link to comment
