cow
It's thursday. It's dinnertime. This can only mean it's Scampi-time. Tonight I'm having Scampi on buttered toast with mash potatoes and turnip. Some weeks I use pasta, others with eggs, beans, rice, on a roll, or just the conventional chips and peas with lemon wedge. Happy Thursday troops. Cow. Link to comment

cow
I find the regular dietary fixed schedule the more nuttier. You will probably find you actually do something similar, just that you don't plan it. Are you more likely to have Asian food at the weekend? Do you try and eat more healthy towards the start of the week with lean meat and veg? Scampi Thursdays makes an average day special. Imagine how I felt leaving the office knowing I only have one more shift till the weekend and tonight I'm having Scampi!!!! I trust you understand now. Cow. 2 Link to comment
muttondressedaslamb
I'm all for diversity. Avocado and cashnew nut pate and some award winning goats cheese I took back from Amsterdam. Just because I don't have much else. I'm not really into cooking. If I work late a bowl of cereal will suffice. But fuck having a schedule. Link to comment
looksgoodinred
No cow, I don't understand. I am aware of rigid schedules that some adhere to in their lives but I neither believe your diet would be this fixed any more than I believe you mix scampi with cereal. Diversity is my schedule. Haggis tonight (tinned of course) was rather jolly. i love haggis. and am desperately craving those delicious little haggis medallions at Ma's. Link to comment

Haggis tonight (tinned of course) was rather jolly. My schedule isn't fixed apart from Thursdays, although it's been months since I've not had Mexican on a Friday. I like that you have a diverse schedule, so do I. That's the beauty of Scampi, you can have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's so versatile! Chuck it on Cereal and it takes a bland cereal to another level. Chuck Scampi on a Salad roll, or a cheese and scampi toasted sandwich. Bliss. Thanks for mentioning haggis, and therefore strengthening my position that Scampi goes with everything. It's that good. Cow. Link to comment

Sheep#1
Scampi is indeed the food of kings. Haven't had it in ages though, only ever get it when I go up home and my ma makes me it first night I'm back. Cover it in salad cream, with a squeeze of lemon. Link to comment
