Sorry Folks!

Spandau Ballet night has been cancelled, I know that will disappoint many out there who were waiting for it to start but the organising committee feel they have been left with no option.

To cut a long story short it seems some overzealous highly strung moderator has decided that the type of thread we had for the hugely successful Wham awards is not welcome in the pub, it has been moved to the barren entertainment section where no one reads, this has undone a lot of hard work and effort and the committee just didn't want to commit the resources for fear the night may be ruined half way through by the same mod.

Sorry again, especially to those who left work early and battled through the snow to get in front of their screen.

Had the same happen to a book suggestion I posted in here.

I'm aware it's a book & there is a book thread in the 'entertainment' section & therefore that is where it should have been posted but I felt quite hard done by on the shifting of that book suggestion & saddened because I feel that some avid readers that are probably to busy & not boring enough to seek out the 'entertainment' section have missed out on that fantastic book suggestion.

The book was "The Secret Footballer" a great & very interesting read I would highly recommend it to football enthusiasts.

Thank you for providing another vessel for me to advertise said book :thumbup1:

& besides, some fuckers read books in the pub when it's quiet. I've seen them.

I'm giving serious consideration to the mad editors efforts to woo me and Bluto back, we've been offered a healthy package including signing on fee to return, we have no loyalty to any board so be warned, the only thing that has kept us here was the relaxed moderation policy.

Moderators please stop meddling with the threads, if it's meant as a laugh it should be in here.

Power ballads?

'All I want to do is make love to you', I pleaded. 'Dream on she screamed, Cryin' about it will hurt More than words can say'.

Here I go again, I thought,.. Love hurts. There's no doubt about it.

I tried once again 'I can't live, living is without you' I wept. 'I just want to be with you'.

She swept away, oh well I thought , Home sweet home it is, Alone again, naturally

My rose definatley had a thorn.
