Ke1t
Should fitba be restricted to humans only, or should you be able to field whatever kind of 'player' you feel like sticking on the park? Lets say you had a Robot that could do a better job than your current midfield. Should you be allowed to name it in your team? How about augmented players? Say there was a bionic leg that could kick a ball with pinpoint accuracy with three times the power of a regular human leg? Possibly you wouldn't even need to sign a Davids or a Messi, just sign up some homeless lad on tuppence a week, fit him with the Club Exoskeleton Legs, and stick him on the park. Then, when he thinks he's 'too good' for Aberdeen like Grimmer and Fyvie and Fraser, just take the legs back and fit them to the next lad. I mean, a limited version of these things exist alreadyy, by the time we're ready to go in the ground there will likely be lightweight exoskeleton legs that can help you charge around a fitba pitch at high speed for a full 90 minutes with limited stress on the rest of the body. In the future it might even be possible to field purely robotic players. Should they be allowed to replace human players? Would you cheer on C3P0 in the same way you would Charlie Nicholas? Already these things are playing at a similar standard to Aberdeen and Hibs (see below)... won't be long before a decision has to be made about who or what is allowed on a fitba pitch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9dcjRL4MT4 Link to comment

Chappit Neeps
I see diving is still an issue in the future. Not a single booking for simulation there! Link to comment
Ke1t
I see diving is still an issue in the future. Not a single booking for simulation there! The robot at 1:20 - 2:26 is brilliant. Little sideways shuffle, falls on his face, gets right up, takes five steps backwards, falls over backwards, ball comes towards him... falls over backwards. Backs into red robot, falls over. gets up, shuffles sideways, falls over for no apparent reason. Gets up, takes a few steps, red robot seems to stick a foot out, falls over. Runs half the length of the pitch backwards, stops, falls over. Gets up... falls over immediately. Gets back up, falls over immediately again. If they can keep that aspect of Robot Fitba intact I'd happily go watch a full 90 minutes Link to comment
