rossafc92
According to Chris Harvey on twitter, both these players to sign new deals next week. Ryan Jack @ryanjack22 and Gary Naysmith to sign new deals at Aberdeen next week. Great news for Dons fans. Twitter Link to comment

TwitterRyan Jacks contract isn't up until 2014, i'd be very surprised if he signed an extension after signing one just over a year ago. Link to comment
a don in oz
Ryan Jack and extend his as long as he wants but Naysmith? He's hardly been here and has been a crock most of the time... why extend it? It's not as if he's even one for the future. Link to comment
Dynamo
Naysmith - wouldn't offer him a new deal.Jack - Excellent news. I trust Chris Harvey has sources inside the club. Link to comment
barassie_afc
i can understand the comments re naysmith but when he did play he looked decent Link to comment
Huntlysheep
Ryan Jack is a good one as he's future of the Dons & a good player we've missed, but Naysmith he's 34ish & played 5 or 6 times. Just another journeyman out to get a good wage & contributed nothing at all. Link to comment
Karl Fletcher
Excellent news regarding Jacko. Get fucking McGinn extended as well ffs. I've liked Naysmith when he's played for us but as predicted he's been too injury prone. Oh well. I'm taking this as mostly good news. Keep the positive vibes coming before Sunday Link to comment
Ingolfsson
For all the injuries we've had, Naysmith has been the most significant. Having said that, rash to offer new deal. Link to comment
StandFree1982
If Ryan Jack signed an extension for another 2-3 years then that would probably be the best piece of news to come out of AFC since Darren Mackie was given the dunt. Maybe AFC have finally understood the importance of tying players down on longer deals! Link to comment

StevieT1986
Thats a shock as i was sure that ryan jack was gonna be the next youngster to leave but that and having reynolds tied up is a big boost Link to comment

rossafc92
Broon only said that the return of these 2 from injury will be like 2 new signings... Yep, looking like a cock up here from Chris Harvey. AFC just tweeted that they haven't signed new deals, and Harvey has just tweeted saying he misinterpreted what Brown said. Oh well then. Byrne Baby Byrne
Surprised we even extended Naysmith's deal from January. He has been a massive waste of money Link to comment

V for Vendetta
Ryan Jacks contract isn't up until 2014, i'd be very surprised if he signed an extension after signing one just over a year ago. Got to disagree with you. If its up in 2014 we should be speaking to him now. This is how we lose players. Credit to the club if they are doing that. Gary Naysmith - another who's part of the 'jobs for the boys'. He's played 4 games or something, ridiculous from Brown AGAIN. I'm inclined to agree with you. I like Naysmith as a player but he hasn't really played for us yet - how can we extend the deal? You'd like to think he is on a low basic given the fitness problems but probably not. Link to comment
tup
Chris Harvey has nothing on me when it comes to Dons exclusives He'll be getting even less now. What a clown. Link to comment

No chance He's not kicked a ball in 4 months, no way he'll play on Sunday. Not played a game even for the reserves/U/20'sEnd of Feb I'd say. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
I know we SHOULD, I just don't think we will, and we aren't. Gotcha. Benefit of the doubt and all thought I suppose. On the Naysmith signing - if he was decent sort he'd offer to extend to the end of the season for free or a youth player salary. He's been payed half a seasons salary for nothing. Link to comment
Coopy100
i can understand the comments re naysmith but when he did play he looked decentI agree with you but unless he is on a pay as you play type deal I can't see the club getting value for money from this deal. Link to comment
DandyDon KD
Delighted about jack as hopefully some of the other young players will follow in his footsteps and he is a great player. Naismith I thought played well but is too injury prone. Link to comment

Can't see Jack signing another contract with the club. 1 Link to comment
SkyeDon
Obviously Chris Harvey is not up with the classic line of: "like new signings." I'd get used to it Chris. Nevertheless, a great boost, it'll be good to have Jack back especially. Link to comment
robbo
naysmith hasnt played much but has been an absolute revelation for the club behind the scenes.hes even said hes had too good a career to let it fade out slowly - once he thinks he cant offer something at a good level, hell retire, but he knows hes still got it in him for another season or 2. hes just been really unlucky with this injury and i know for a fact hes not just sitting on his wage enjoying the time off. hes desperate to play and earn his keep.
