tup
The correct decision. I'm a bit shocked because Roberto said he was signing a 6 month deal and usually he's bang on the money with that type of thing. 8 Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Thank god!!!! Actually happy he's staying on the board though - I think thats good. He knows a thing or 2 and has an eye for a player (sometimes). Knows nothing about tactics though 1 Link to comment

sooth_stander
Knox away too? Clean sheet and all that..... Adams in. Wander how it would work with his old man and Brown more or less doing the same job, though? Link to comment

KentishDon
Think it's a good thing he's moved upstairs rather than left altogether. I imagine this will lead towards a young, maybe somewhat inexperienced, manager coming in and Pa Broon will be there to offer words of advice. Not necessarily on tactics but on finance, scouting, people management and general management. Also it's a football voice on the board, something which we don't have at the moment. Link to comment
StandFree1982
Basically this just cements his job for the next few months. No way he'll get sacked now! Link to comment

If we lose on Saturday, we're bottom six with no fear of relegation, no chance he was being sacked at any point. Link to comment
Granite City Reds
Right move i think putting him upstairs. I don't know how he hasn't managed to get the best out of the squad and amazed that we have struggled in the league. Football was too negative overall so hopefull the new manager plays good attacking football. Whoever is going to be manager is inheriting a good squad of players full of experience and good youth players coming through so the future is bright 1 Link to comment

Kilkito
I think we all reckoned he was gone at the end of the season anyway, but its good to get confirmation of this. I have no problem with him being on the board, he has a lot of footabll experience, and I've nothing against him personally, just think he was not the man to manage the team. Wish this season would end and I could start having my usual false optimism, based on nothing but hope, for the new season Link to comment
afc_blockhead
The correct decision all round. Brown will leave a much better squad than he inherited from the car crash Mcghee and has managed to get rid of most of the chancers he was left with. Onwards and upwards, let the speculation about his replacement commence! 1 Link to comment
Dandyjam
Did well when he first came in saving us from almost certain relegation and steadied the ship but his time was up and glad he's stepping down as the football on show was awful at times and don't think I've seen so many 0-0 matches in one season. Gives us a bit of time to get someone new in but think the next appointment we make is crucial, to avoid us going backwards again like when McGhee came in. Link to comment
King Street Loon
The correct decision. He did what was required initially, but its been going backwards rapidly. A new broom is required and fresh ideas.I think the playing staff will benefit from this. Appointing him to the board is fine with me if that's the way they want to go. Link to comment

Paul Hartley or even Adams would be a step in the right direction in my opinion. Expect the wasters in the squad to switch off entirely now. Did CB jump or was he pushed? Link to comment
