Fan Dies At Killie - Hibs Game

Recommended Posts

Also on top of those factors was it not the fact the ambulance had been on the pitch, and was also away from the stadium, and there needs to be an ambulance present at every game for precisely this reason?

Think it was the right decision to call it off out of respect, even if he wasnt dead at the stadium.

nae fine news.

Pretty sure Pittodrie doesn't have an ambulance at games.

Just red cross mannies, no paramedics. they know their stuff like, some of them probably up to paramedic level

As an ex red cross first aider at pittodrie. maybe its changed now but there was always two paramedics, and an ambulance present as well as first aiders

you'll know better than me mate, my only experience is when I asked the club who had helped my old man so I could thank them, was told it was some red cross people and the club doctor, could have been more people involved. Was told they had to wait for an ambulance as well.

When I first heard about it I assumed it must have been boredom he died of but heard later it was a heart attack.

The mortality rate for weegieland is 55 so he did not bad overall.

You do realise that Kilmarnock is 25 miles from Glasgow?

Therefore he's nowhere near being a weegie....

you see the clue is in the name...weegie, as in GlasWEGIAN.

Paisley, East Kilbride and the likes are all 10+ miles away, and still weegie holes, like Tup, I would classify 20-25miles away as still very much on the weegie rader.

As mentioned earlier, the game could not continue as there needs to be an ambulance at the stadium at all times.

According to the BBC report last night, the ambulance took 20 minutes to arrive.

Now if that was correct, then the ambulance couldn't have been there in the first place.

The reporter was Chic Young mind you.

You should re-read the last line of my post...there's a clue in the term "weegie" and it's meaning.

Peterhead is not much more than 25 miles north of Aberdeen....are folk from Peterhead Aberdonians?

Strange logic.

 I'm fully aware of where the terminology came from, as will Tup, and the many others who broadens the weegie status to outwith the city of Glasgow boundaries.

Bit like Snatch, when cousin Avi calls Boris the Blade a sneaky Russian, even though he knew he was from Uzbekistan

Weegieland = an undefined region where the residents act, speak and have the lifestyle and mentality of weegies and is therefore ever evolving with a fluid border.j

Your 2 hours past your bed time. You will be a grumpier cunt the morn.
