King Street Loon
Nae fine. Guy passed away at hospital of a heart attack. Killie seem to be making a habit of having fans die at their games. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-22423362 Link to comment
daytripping
Can only imagine they knew he'd died at the scene, anything else and they would just carry on. Link to comment
King Street Loon
as horrible as that is...is it really normal to abandon the game?I think it was due to the length of time the game was stopped for.And out of respect. Link to comment
Liam
Also on top of those factors was it not the fact the ambulance had been on the pitch, and was also away from the stadium, and there needs to be an ambulance present at every game for precisely this reason? Think it was the right decision to call it off out of respect, even if he wasnt dead at the stadium. nae fine news. Link to comment
daytripping
he didnt die at the stadium though? A strange decision then, folk get ill at the football, have seen it a few times over the years and told the tale of my old man on the other thread, never causes even a stop in play. Link to comment

Was told they had to wait for an ambulance as well. Link to comment
tup
When I first heard about it I assumed it must have been boredom he died of but heard later it was a heart attack. The mortality rate for weegieland is 55 so he did not bad overall. Link to comment

Paisley, East Kilbride and the likes are all 10+ miles away, and still weegie holes, like Tup, I would classify 20-25miles away as still very much on the weegie rader. 1 Link to comment
Lang Bar
As mentioned earlier, the game could not continue as there needs to be an ambulance at the stadium at all times. According to the BBC report last night, the ambulance took 20 minutes to arrive. Now if that was correct, then the ambulance couldn't have been there in the first place. The reporter was Chic Young mind you. I'm fully aware of where the terminology came from, as will Tup, and the many others who broadens the weegie status to outwith the city of Glasgow boundaries. Bit like Snatch, when cousin Avi calls Boris the Blade a sneaky Russian, even though he knew he was from Uzbekistan Link to comment
