Ke1t
Haven't read a printed paper in ten years. Quite liked the Sunday Sport for the lulz. Link to comment
At The Border Guy
Used to read loads of national papers, but stopped entirely last year. A mixture of misery, bias and propoganda which my life is much better without. Still read the odd local paper if looking for jobs though. Link to comment

cow
Do you like the Independent because of the word Independent Ha no, I just believe it's reporting of the news is balanced, well written, and covers foreign affairs better than other broadsheets. Link to comment

dervish
Fav - Scotsman or Independent (if in englandshire) Most hated - Daily Record or Daily Mail (if in englandshire) Why is that 90% of them amount to banal fucking comics? Hate having to argue with spatics who get their arguments out of the DM. Link to comment

No ta! how is any editorial force-feeding you anything? it's just another opinion. which may or may not be similar to those you've already developed of your own on a subject. or give you a new way of seeing it. which you may or may not agree with. take from it what you will. but i'd not see it as forcing an opinion on anyone. People read newspapers that support their views (I'm sure that there's a better way I could word this but my brains asleep) and that doesn't help anyone challenge their outlook on matters. I've attempted a few papers in the last few months, the independant, guardian, daily ranger, sun and some others that escape me for the moment and I haven't found one where I can just read it without having the journalists opinion weakling it's way in with selective facts and quotations. One thing that especially pissed me off was whilst reading the shite newspapers (sun, daily record etc) I found that when referring to a musician they would say things like Bob Dylan buys cheese for lunch (for example)The story would then start with the words"The Blowin' in the wind star" or "The Times They are a Changing singer". Needless! Totally needless way to start a story. Give me the information then shut up. Link to comment
daytripping
I read The Sun every day. Don't know why it gets a bad press, a great read. Deidre's problem page, the letters and page 3 being the highlight. Has politics, city news, World news, interesting articles, a health section, motoring section some days, great sports coverage. Just an all round good read. Link to comment

looksgoodinred
That would be remarkable seeing as there isn't a P&J on a Sunday and no it's not. while there, and having time, being key. not necessarily a Sunday. but that's my preferred morning for a lazy read.and i don't believe i even cracked one newspaper the last time i was there. weekdays or the weekend.
