Ullevi Stadium Tour

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Booking a wee trip to Gothenburg for August this year. Intend going to the hallowed turf of Ullevi, or "Nya Ullevi" as I just learned it is now called. Also surprised to hear that IFK Gothenburg do not play there anymore although they are playing at home the weekend I will be there.

Obviously was hoping to visit Ullevi and get a few pictures etc - I've been googling trying to find details of any stadium tours etc but I am finding nothing. Surely plenty of Dandies have done this though - can anyone give me any pointers?

Cheers lads.

I was over just the week before the 30th anniversary mate, me and the Mrs just took a stroll down to stadium walked in and asked we could have a look inside, no problem !!

The 2 stadiums are only about 5 minutes apart.

IFK play at the smaller one the Gamla, which had capacity increased a few years ago, worth a look inside as well.

But The Nya Ullevi is really worth a visit especially if like me you were their 30 years ago !!

We got some cracking fotos, the day we went was warm and sunny, so was ideal.

From central station you can walk to stadiums in 5-10 mins.

There is a city ticket you can buy at outlets, which gives you travel on the trams, boat trip(do this) and free entry to Lisberg amusement park good also and other stuff if you are their for a few days, works out cheaper than pay as you go.

Trust me the bevvy is not cheap either ha ha, you will enjoy though, beautiful city.

If you are staying around central station, that is as good as anywhere
