Zimmerman Trial Verdict Imminent

Remember the case where the guy with a gun chased after a kid, Trayvon Martin, who was walking along the street with some sweeties for his little brother... forcing the guy with the gun, Zimmerman, to shoot the kid with the sweeties, because a kid walking along the road with sweeties is obviously a serious threat. well, that trial is in its final phase now.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out, given the cops didn't even want to arrest Mr Zimmerman.

Who mentioned sledgehammer for a fishing rod last week?

The guy was shot from the ground, he was getting beat up when he took the shot, it was a gated estate I believe and the guy killed had no right being there.

Has self defence written all over it from the sketchy info I'm aware of.

Of course a manslaughter verdict may stop riots so might be given to control the locals.

To clarify. Martin a teenager, was walking along the street and found himself being approached by a stranger. If a struggle ensued then who is the person who initiated any conflict?

You believe incorrectly. He was living there at the time.

You may want to review your info.

I don't think anything less than a guilt charge will prevent riots.

Kelt, you just posed a very biased account of what happened. You either only read what the media told you when it first happened and hadn't recently seen the evidence come to light or you're lying.

How the media portrayed Trayvon:

What trayvon actually looked like:

MWMwR.jpg?1Ax26X.jpg

Trayvon wasn't some innocent kid buying sweets (buying skittles and iced tea) for his brother. He bought them to make a drug called "lean" or "purple drank", which includes iced tea and skittles in the recipe. This was shown in Facebook and text messages.

Trayvon was also a high school footballer and bigger than Zinmerman. He was excluded from school for fighting, had robbery tools in his backpack and stolen jewellery in his locker.

Trayvon also saw himself as a gangter, as seen in text messages. He also took part and refereed illegal MMA fights. He even took part in and lost one the day he died. Along with that, the toxicology report showed he had drugs in his system.

And illegally owned a handgun.

Trayvon was a thug.

Zimmerman did follow him which is not illegal, lost sight of Trayvon and witness testimony (his girlfriend was on the phone) showed that he was outside his fathers home, but that's not where he died.

Tayvon double backed and confronted zimmerman, attacked him, got on top of him (witness testimony shows the bigger guy was on top, which was Trayvon at the time) started smashing his head into the pavement, and feeling his life was in danger used lethal forced to defend himself. Completely legal.

Paki then Roberto ffs min, talk about splitting hairs.

I suppose in a certain light she could be mistaken for a Paki.... by someone from Wick.

Still, it's not nice to be talking about our families.

You don't see mentioning that any wife of yours is likely to be a web-footed albino cyclops, do you?

I smoked weed and took a variety of other drugs, I, like 99% of the world's population have something illegal in my possession, I played 'High School Soccer', plenty teenagers think themselves 'thugs' and plenty of them get into fights. You could be describing half the people on this board.

He was being stalked along a dark street by some stranger and he turned and confronted that stranger?

Brave kid... I'd probably have ran for it.

Zimmerman was looking to get involved, which he did in complete contravention of what the police had just said to him... and then he shot a kid.

Whether Trayvon was a thug or not, he was not the one looking for a confrontation.

911 dispatch is not the police.

911 dispatch have no authority to tell you to do anything. Disregarding the advice of dispatch is not illegal. It is not against the law.

Observing someone In a public space is not against the law. Following someone is not against the law.

Attacking someone is against the law. Which is what Trayvon did. Trayvon was the aggressor. Trayvon confronted Zimmerman.

Trayvon was the one that took Zimmerman down, straddled him, punched him in the face and smashed his head against the pavement repeatedly. Forensic evidence shows this.

Zimmerman lawfully defended himself.

I didn't say Zimmerman was doing anything illegal until he murdered the kid he was stalking.

If you initiate a confrontation then your claim of 'self defence' loses credibility.

I followed and confronted an unarmed kid and shot him in self defence.

K then.

In the highly improbable scenario where I was getting beat up by a big darkie and I had a gun I'd pop a cap in his ass, game over, ain't gonna be no rematch he's broon bread.

I'd demand a white jury though, I'd want a fair trial and wouldn't want my skin colour to be a deciding factor.

I imagine like Zimmerman I'd sipping dry martinis by the end of the day after the jury cleared me in minutes.

This drug called Lean sounds interesting, I want the recipe! skittles and ice tea sound great, must be a missing ingredient though or the USA street gangs are not very hardcore.

how many fucking times.

How many fucking times is my opinion/perception of the situation going to differ?

Just once.

Zimmerman never confronted Trayvon.

Trayvon confronted Zimmerman.

Zimmerman stalked Trayvon, ergo he's the one who initiated any confrontation.

Being unarmed has nothing to do with it.

If you feel your life is being threatened, which if my head was being hit against concrete and nobody was hearing my calls for help, deadly force is allowable and justifiable.

I wonder who felt their life was more in danger... the kid walking along the street with a stranger stalking him, or the guy with the gun who initiated the confrontation.

Punches can kill. Smashing someone's head against pavement can kill.

Guns are pretty lethal too, I'm led to believe.

Zimmerman has reasonable doubt for self defence.

You clearly know nothing about Florida state laws and all you're going by is MUH FEELINZ POOR BLACK INNOCENT CHILD.

The media made this about race and pressured the state to take him to trial. He wasn't even going to be prosecuted in the first case.

I'd be surprised if anyone knows very much about Florida State Law aside from Floridian Lawyers.

And Trayvon's ethnicity has nothing to do with it, though I do notice you're the one bringing that up so presumably that's an issue for you, rather than me.
