It says on redweb that its not got cash turnstiles. Not very clear.

Pay at gate means pay at gate ie pay cash at turnstile.

Limited turnstiles open, Health and Safety says 600 tickets only which are sold out. That is what my mate said after he went down to try and get for the South today, so we're in the RDS...

Is the Merkland open? Only asking because the "Paint The Merkland" has been all this week and it continues today (my daughter is one of them doing it) ....doubt if the paint will be dry by game time

Have heard the idea might be make the main and merkie the walk up stands and you will have to pre buy for the South and the RDS

 

If this is the idea its a bloomin good one as you look round the RDS and the main and both were well full tonight and it looks so much better than an empty main stand - Bet it looks much better from the TV gallery as well which is most important

 

If this is the idea its a damn good marketing idea - make it appear busy from the TV pics and encourage others to come

Getting out is a bloody nightmare too. Glad I chose the RDL instead of the Main. That said, I doubt it'll be that full again, for quite some time.

 

They made a horse's arse of getting in as well... folk that wanted to PATG were queuing way past kick off time.

Massive queues there so joined one and wasn't moving much. Guy came up and said hold on as ran out of tickets (for seat numbers) at turnstyles but away to get more. 5 mins later and said have to join other massive queue as run out so joined other queue. 5 mins on and that turnstyles were running out and official told us RDS cash turnstyle opened and plenty tickets there and Merkland had plenty.

 

So hordes head down to RDS and join massive queue for 2 cash turnstyles and 5 mins later they run out of tickets aswell. About 7.40 now and loads just heading back to golf clubs. We joined now smaller queue for ticket office and got tickets for RDS and got in about 7.45 ish but even at that time folk still trying to get in and queue for tickets was huge again and more folk saying fuck it back to pub.

Jesus wept..... what a feckin cock up! And I swear blind that there was no damage to any of the turnstyles for South Stand. I think they just wanted to make the rest of the stadium busier.

 

Quite amateurish really, all said and done. Piss up and brewery spring to mind.

 

Actually, the first 10 mins of 1st half were the best bit of the 45... the rest was keep ball for Twente wasn't it.

Aye the catering in the RDS is so shit it's nae real.

 

Queued from end of first half for 25 minutes missing McGinns goal for there to be no hot food only crisps and boiled bloody sweets.

 

This happened last season too often.

 

The catering is outsourced I think and if that's right, the clowns who "run" it need to be jottered.

we should ditch the spl for a year and just play glamour friendlies all season! get all these man u, Liverpool, barca fans along to pittodrie every other week. maybe the south americans have stopped their leagues, get flamengo over!

Cause it is a friendly with a 7000 crowd that even AFC could manage to handle? I mean take a ten pound note and hand over a ticket - should be pretty easy.
