granite sheep
Peter Capaldi How he's gonna play the part of the often badass glaikit time traveller without going into full on Malcolm Tucker mode is anyone's guess. Link to comment
NorthernLights24
Disappointed. I was led to believe the only person who could take on the role was a black lesbian single mother asylum seeker Link to comment

The Boofon
Janet Ellis would still get it.So would Sarah Greene. What's Sarah Greene's legs and fanny got in common? They've both been fucked by Mike Smith's chopper. Link to comment
spamspamspam
Being a sci fi lover I did watch it when it first came back on with Eccleston and I also watched when David Tennent took over. Once the boy Matt got it I stopped watching, the other two doctors had appeal to everyone. Eccleston was dark, Tennent was switched on, quite funny and played it well. I'll probably watch a couple of the new Capaldi ones just to see fit like but I really cant see how a guy that has played a charachter in the series already and a main part in Torchwood can then become the doctor. I'd have preferred someone like Tim Roth but no matter who they have they'll never beat Tom Baker as the doctor. Link to comment

360
Dr. Who is watched exclusively by geeks. Hence why I don't watch it. 3 Link to comment
fatjim
Personally I don't watch it because it's a kids show but in saying that I rarely watch TV anyway. Link to comment

madjockmcferson
Personally I don't watch it because it's a kids show but in saying that I rarely watch TV anyway. People die in just about every episode. Its pretty dark for kids. The wife is disappointed it wasnt a woman. Link to comment
fatjim
People die in just about every episode. Its pretty dark for kids. The wife is disappointed it wasnt a woman. That was why Mary Whitehouse campaigned against it in the 70s apparently because it was too gory for kids. I wouldn't know what it is like now as I haven't watched it since I was a kid. Mary would be turning in her grave if she was alive today. Link to comment
spamspamspam
Tim Roth? Wise up. He'd never play Dr Who. Way too cool and famous. If he did that lie to me shite he must be desperate for work. Dr Who is massive in the US. One of its spin offs was picked up by Stars, Capaldi was in it. Link to comment
