Tord31
vacancy for the coach of the under 20s now advertised. Clearly no candidate identified/tapped-up and it aint going to be Robson stepping up. Very much an absolute sacking for Neil Cooper then by all accounts. Strange one. Link to comment
King Street Loon
Where is the advert? I might apply. Is it in the classified section of the P & J, or is it going to be in the Jobs pull-out they have on a Friday? Link to comment

Jack_Glass
Paul Sheerin Returns to Pittodrie Aberdeen FC has confirmed that former player Paul Sheerin has been appointed as the Club's Under 20 Coach, replacing Neil Cooper who left at the end of last season. The 39 year old, currently Manager at Arbroath FC, played 47 times for the Dons between 2002 and 2004, scoring 9 goals, will start his new role later this month and Pittodrie. Chief Executive, Duncan Fraser, paid tribute to his current employer: "Following a comprehensive process, Derek McInnes identified Paul as the person he wanted for this vital role. Despite wishing to retain Paul's services, Arbroath Chairman John Christison was good to deal with and completely appreciated Paul's desire to come back to Aberdeen."In addition to his time with the Dons, Paul also played for Alloa Athletic, Southampton, Ostersunds FK, Inverness Caley Thistle, Ayr United and St. Johnstone. sooth_stander
Will he also be involved at 1st team level, on matchdays? Always like to see a stream of AFC "backroom" staff piling onto the pitch and celebrating any AFC goal. Celtic, eg, seem to have about 10 folk sitting in the technical area. Link to comment

tightbreeks
more of yoof question. back in the day, the 80's, I'm sure the dons used to seek out the player of the years from the juvenile leagues and schools round Aberdeen and get them down to the blaze pitch/car park for training? surely a good idea, if it's not still done anyway.
