Geoff_Tipps
My car is due for a MOT the end of September. Can anyone recommend any good garages within the city? Ideally reasonably priced and not cowboys. Link to comment
dazzy_deff
Pittodrie Car Stadium. Terri will sort you out there. Link to comment
davarob
The guy up in behind Fugro in Bridge of Don is good. Calls a spade a spade, doesn't suffer fools gladly, he's aware that a stitch in time saves nine, his glass is always half full, salt of the earth. Fair days work for a fair days pay, that's his motto. Link to comment
davarob
Albyn Albyn's a pub. Why would the guy take his car to get MOT'd in a bar? Link to comment
E-P-K
Pittodrie Car Stadium. Terri will sort you out there. Yeah, Literally. The self confessed best at giving BJ's in Aberdeen. Link to comment
Moorie86
One across from the transport club? Not quick fit along from it. Link to comment
daytripping
Overton is good, depends where in town you are, if that side of town they do a good service at a fair price. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
Stag Motors - next to Pittodrie Car Stadium - see Spike or Gary and tell them ChutneyLove sent you. Didn't know Terri held that moniker, I'll ask people more in the know than me. Link to comment

brownie
Kenny at Denmore Garage (behind Craig International Supplies on Denmore Road) is brand new, toff of a guy. Been using him for a few years now and never had any dramas. Link to comment
Dazzler
Anyone able to recommend somewhere good to buy tyres fairly cheaply? Link to comment
ChutneyLove
Buying cheap tyres is a false economy. If you are going to keep the car or drive it a lot, buy as expensive tyres as you can afford. A bit like motorcycle helmets, you can't spend enough on them. If it is your mother-in-laws car, get some remoulds. Link to comment

ChutneyLove
Piddle Chutney!! High Cost, High Traction tyre will wear out quickly.I wasn't talking about wear my wee dungeon keeper, I was talking about safety. You can't spend enough on safety equipment - ask The Boofter. Link to comment
The Boofon
High cost, ultra high performance, coming into winter. Unsafe. Even if Boof agrees!! I agree with you on this Pipes. Bad time of year for driving. Deer fucking everywhere. I almost mangled one on Friday. Fuck knows how I managed to miss it. Well I do know. I've got lightning reactions, always drive according to the safety laws of the land and I've got good quality tyres. A cheap and nasty tyre would have ended up costing me far more replacing the front end of the Disco. Link to comment
brownie
look at Black circles online and get Law's Tyres to price match them. Link to comment
ericblack4boss
If you use Costco then be aware you will have to buy 4 tyres won't sell two at a time. For fuck sake Don.t go anyway near that thieving cunts tawse tyres . if I had a puncture right outside their garage. I would sooner car my tyre on my back to the boy I work 20 miles away than that arseholes Link to comment

Redstar
Anyone able to recommend somewhere good to buy tyres fairly cheaply?Sillett's in Holland Street will give you the best deal...all the Taxi Drivers use him...which speaks volumes Link to comment
Dazzler
Very good Redstar. Phoned Tawse earlier and they were same price as kwik fit etc. Link to comment
Iraq_Red
If you try mytyres.co.uk, you can buy with the price including fitting and John McInnes in Dyce is on the list of fitting stations but it depends on your location as to where you want to go to get them fitted. The tyres get delivered direct to them and you go along with the printed voucher to get the wheels fitted. Tyremen.co.uk & Camskill.co.uk are also good places to try Link to comment
