BrianFaePerth
http://news.sky.com/story/1144469/coca-cola-apologises-for-retard-bottle-cap She took a picture of the bottle top and her father Doug wrote a letter of complaint to the drinks firm, mentioning his younger daughter Fiona, who has cerebral palsy and autism. Coca-Cola said it has been printing one random French word and one random English word on the inside of each Vitamin Water cap. Link to comment

looksgoodinred
50 grand for what? a random French word in the bottle cap? ffs Link to comment
Ke1t
Pain and suffering... mental anguish... emotional harm... The fact that the kid is autistic will be all that's needed to make this a case. And If you're Coca Cola, what's the better course of action, 'calling' an autistic kid a retard then fighting the unfortunate kid in court, publically, or handing over sweetie money so this is never heard of again? Kid probably barely registers on the spectrum... but the lawyers will be playing that shit up no doubt. Did I tell you we got sued because another car touched ours? No impact, just two cars gently bumping together... apparently the other driver got whiplash. That was us sued Link to comment
looksgoodinred
its bloody ridiculous. and purely a cash grab. since the daughter in question seems to have not seen the bottle cap.. just maybe could have, had things been different. so fuck that! they wanted Coke to be aware. they've pulled the campaign and apologized. it's unfortunate, but Coke hardly did it on purpose. litigious pricks irritate me. in the instance you note, how do you get sued if a car touches yours? bumped you presumably from behind? they're at fault surely? The wife turned against slow-moving traffic, the car that was coming towards us appeared to speed up as we turned, then slowed as they approached our rear bumper. We weren't even sure if there had been contact, but the lassie driving the other car assured us she had hit us, despite no dents or scuff marks in either vehicle. Insurance said that if we did indeed touch then it was 'low impact', although I suspect no impact at all. Cops were called, details were exchanged, and the lassie later fell ill with severe whiplash as a result of the collision Our insurance then proceeded to increase by about a third, so we cancelled and went elsewhere... eventually paying about half as much as we had been paying, so we made out. This was in Kentucky, where apparently road accident payouts constitutes a pretty decent chunk of people's income. Link to comment
LeDandy
Watch oot for folk flashing you at junctions inviting you onto the main road , they then speed up as you pull oot in front of them , bad bastards oot there folks. Link to comment
Ohjimmyjimmy
Asking the spastic cunt to read the bottle top for a start would put that claim to bed. Link to comment
