Byrne Baby Byrne
Calm down calm down calm down calm down! It's the SCOTTISH CUP! Our semi for the LEAGUE CUP will be at Tannadice Ah thats not so bad. My palms are sweaty as fuck. Shut up about Tannadice. I can't cope with this. A semi final in April at Ibrox could be fun. They shouldn't have the semi finals at Hampden anyway. Should wait and see who's playing and then decide where to put them. Link to comment
10MenWent2Mow
Was always going to be the case. Ultimately, it's nice to have full stadiums for Semi finals but we lack stadia that are inbetween the capacities of Hampden, Ibrox and Parkhead and that of Pittodrie, Easter Rd and Tynecastle. It's my opinion that everyone that wants to attend a semi should be able to and I'm afraid for quite a lot of instances that involves a 1/2 full Hampden, Ibrox or Parkhead. I'm just hoping we get there and can sit somewhere other than the scabby corners of them both. Link to comment
Karl Fletcher
Seems so pointless confirming this now. For example, imagine an Inverness v Ross County semi-final at Ibrox? Would be fucking lunacy to have it a 50,000 seater stadium. Link to comment
Henry
Aye, was it really imperative to finalise this now? From the SFA website: Rangers finance director, Brian Stockbridge, said: "We are delighted Ibrox Stadium has been chosen to host the Scottish Cup semi-finals in April."The Scottish FA’s decision to play these ties at the home of Scotland’s most successful club underlines the fact that Ibrox remains one of European football’s elite arenas. "Of course we hope to travel far in this competition ourselves but no matter who plays at Ibrox they can be certain of the warmest of welcomes." Link to comment
10MenWent2Mow
Yeah. That's the one thing I'd say is that announcing it now is pointless, especially as far as the semis go. Could perhaps have played that by ear and used Murrayfield for the final. Can't say I'm overly bothered though. as long as the dandies are there. Link to comment
Dynamo
Celtic if they get there at home for the final Link to comment
muttonhumper
Startling fuckwittery from the SFA. Pretty much sums them up. Link to comment

From the SFA website: "The Scottish FA’s decision to play these ties at the home of Scotland’s most successful club underlines the fact that Ibrox remains one of European football’s elite arenas. They got pulled by the Advertising Standards Agency for claiming this the other month and were told to take it down. I'm surprised they are still claiming that given it's against the law to false advertise. Link to comment
Henry
I dare say the SFA are less stringent when it comes to the rangers. Hopefully some Celtic fan with too much time on his hands complains. Link to comment
Mikeyboy1903
All about the Glasgow as always .......... Just sums up after all the shite they are still fucking at it...... Link to comment
caledonia
fucking shite i wish two teams other than the old firm get to the final and the fans then boycott it they say its because Celtic park has the biggest capacity lets see if the Ramsdens Cup final is there and then we will know for sure its only capacity they looked at. Link to comment
Ingolfsson
So when Pittodrie was chosen for a cup semi replay between Caley Thistle and Dunfermline, did that mean it became "one of Europe's elite arenas"? Mental spin from the huns. Cunts should be gagged. Then dismembered. Link to comment
wicker83
Ridiculous decision-making and justification going on there by the SFA. At the - very - fuckin least they should have said it was parkhead or ibrox for the semis and final, and decided which stadium was used for which games depending on the teams that there, so noone has home advantage. caledonia
If, by the greatest if miracles, we get there, I hope I'd be joined by the masses in committing lots of vandalismthat would play into their hands as they would then be allowed to claim it off Aberdeen.and knowing how skint they are they will claim a lot more than the damage caused. tup
Ibrox should be boycotted by all four semi finalists. Show the HunFA what folk think of their financial aid mission which can be the only reason that abhorrent shithole is even considered. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Clearly the SFA had no option but to play the games at Celtic Park and Ibrox. After all there are only 3 stadiums capable of hosting a football match in Scotland. Right? Link to comment
