Ciftci of United accused of assaulting the assistant ref and facing a potential 16 game ban.

 

Astonishingly that prick McNamoron appealed the red.

I saw something about him putting his hand around the assistant's neck? Is that right? If so he'd be lucky with just 16 games and would deserve every one of them.

We can all hate the refs and get pissed off at how shit they are but as soon as players start that shit - and don't get totally smashed for it - we're done.

There appears to be some suggestion of a differing opinion of official reports - hence Macnamara's appeal.

 

From what I saw in the highlights there is the claw in the face (eye gouge?) on the ICT player but I didn't see anything against the Linesman. What I did see was four officials lose control. Gee gee just made the cardinal sin of getting caught.

Update: Up in Inverness today. Apparently went for the linesman after being sent off in the melee. Definite move of hand to the throat but query over amount of contact/pressure.

 

Sounds like he could be posted missing for a wee while. Shame. When's the derby?

Seems like there are suggestions the Officials may have over egged their stories this time. We'll have to wait for the evidence but I wouldn't be at all surprised after what we've they've been seen to fabricate stories to justify themselves more than once in recent years.

 

If this proves to be yet another case of Scottish Officials making shit up to get a player done we really need to demand a clear out of the entire SFA Senior Ref system

I did have to laugh as I watched the highlights and the boy managed to contort hi body so he missed an easy scoring chance.

It was reminiscent of Zola in his pomp.

Watched the Motherwell - Dundee United highlights and Çiftçi was involved in at least 3 of the 4 goals, the SPFL is really a joke, they rescind his red card in a hearing because his 'threatening behaviour' was unproven towards an ICT player (despite clearly approaching the ICT player and grabbing his face and then grabbing the linesman's neck a few seconds later) yet the hearing for his linesman assault isn't heard until the 21st therefore allowing him to still play for Utd and earn them some decent points in the last few games - why couldn't they just deal with that at the same time?
