Corruption In Scottish Football

This is not directed towards Brines on Sat but it is one of the many reasons that this thought enters my head.

So forget about Saturdays game, as this is not what this thread is about.

 

The corruption in Scottish football is there for all "neutrals" to see & it's basically down to money. We all know this & there is simply no way we will EVER get past this.

 

No side other than the two arse cheeks will ever win the league because of these cunts & the powers running our game in this Country.

We've seen the same in Italy but it was in favour of more than just TWO teams but they got found out.

 

We've seen so many times when a side is looking at mounting any sort of threat to either of the cheeks that they are instantly cut back down to size.

It's happened with us, with Dundee Utd (remember Levein greeting like a banshee) & it's happened with Hearts.

 

We don't even have to be mounting a serious threat to the league to be done over by the officials. All we have to do is to mount a threat to spoil the "battle" between to two arse cheeks & threaten to ruin the title run in between them.

 

None of the "smaller" teams will ever threaten the league & the Champions league place that comes with it because (quite simply) it will cost the SPFL/SFA too much money by allowing a diddy side into it.

 

This past few seasons of bliss without the huns in the league could have seen someone (If they spent a good bit at huge risk) trying to mount a challenge on celtic but it would have been money wasted because THEY simply would not risk letting a weaker team win the league.

Unless some sugar daddy with mountains of cash comes into one of our clubs this will never change.

We can no longer dream of being in with even the slightest chance of being "there abouts" at the business end of the season.

 

I'm not for a minute saying that we were even close to mounting a threat this season because I know (for the reasons above) that this would not ever happen.

 

I'm sure we can all come up with plenty of times where a side has been threatening to spoil the "arse cheek" run in a little only for them to be fucked over by corruption.

 

Mad Vlad came closest cos he had balls to highlight the bias in Scottish football towards them but he was soon cut down to size after that & Levien for all his greeting earned a little respect but was fined all the same & Thompson stuck by him which was a credit to him also

Yes they are shite & Brines is up there on top of the pile but there is no denying that (over the past few decades especially) that the corruption has gotten a lot worse & actually a lot more obvious because there is a lot more money to be had in today's football.

It really is corruption of the highest level & they are simply allowed to carry on regardless.

Just look at the shite they tried to pull to save the huns & keep them up in top flight & even then they pulled all the strings to get them shoe horned straight into the 3rd div. Then they bent over for them for TV deals.

 

We all know the game is fucked here & it's money & greed that brought this on us but the corruption is so blatant it's just pathetic. & we're the mugs that put up with it because we don't have any clout to do anything about it.

If you're looking at corruption could I suggest that referee's shiteness comes way down the list. A long way below, for example, a completely compromised SFA President remaining in office at our club along with all the other's bequest. Or, for example, a witness for the prosecution in a recent enquiry into financial doping by one of our biggest clubs completely sinking the entire case against. These examples are by no means exclusive.

 

Our referees are shite. They are as good at being corrupt (nothing but blatant favouritism, a different thing entirely) as PP is (was) at diving.

 

Sorry to disappoint you, but the only team capable of unseating Celtic in the current financial set-up is...........Celtic. (for all those who thought I was going to say Sevco could I just say a hearty Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahaha)

Brines' display on Saturday was purely down to incompetence and not corruption. I can't count the number of times he's made epic blunders in games, I seem to remember he was close to being sacked due to the scale of his buffoonery?

 

Corruption on a wider scale is difficult to prove, and I don't think it exists up here in its truest form. Corruption, to me, implies a conscious effort to manipulate results. I do, however, believe the SFA and SPFL pander to a massive central bias which makes it incredibly difficult for the game to be run on a level playing field. The only thing that should differentiate teams in Scotland is fan base, however, in Scotland the system is setup up to re-reward the dominant teams, whereas it should support all teams equally. We had to fight hammer and tong just to get a fairer distribution of money for league places, and even then it's no where near being equal.

 

Corruption - no, bias - yes.

It wasn't such a big problem when the money on offer wasn't so grand but since the introduction of the Champions league especially. The corruption has been there for all to see.

No matter how you look at it, it's corrupt as fuck.

 

I'm no mug. I understand that the scum have the massive following & therefore more money regardless but in the past that simple gulf was nowhere near as apparent as it is now that the greed for Todays football money has taken over.

 

There is far too much money on offer for the powers that be to allow anyone other than the scum to hold it (& dish out their bribes) they want the strongest sides representing Scotland & they have made sure that the cheeks are by far the strongest sides & they tried desperately to make sure one wasn't (deservedly) taken out of the picture for too long also.

Anyone who has spoken to (or more correctly been spoken at by) a central belt old firmer will be patently aware that only one type of fan exist in their eyes - if you're not for one of the scum, then you are automatically against the other. For evidence see any article and reaction to the fisticuffs in Amserdam last week.

 

The option to consider both cheeks in the same manner, whether that is love, loathe, utterly despise or the funniest one, being utterly indifferent to, them does not exist in their eyes. If you consider that our authorities automatically have the same outlook - where for instance you cannot announce a cup final at CP without automatically confirming a semi final at the temple of hate, where you restructure at significant cost the entire league letterhead to suit two teams, one of which self combusted then you will find Scottish Football's structure will make a lot more sense to you. Inept, glory seeking, flag flying, blinkered bollocks. Yes, undoubtedly. But corrupt?

I do not think Scottish football is corrupt in the slightest. Even the thought of this is ludicrous.

 

The powers that be that run our game in this Country are doing a truly wonderful job.
