terenceandphilip
I'm trying to avoid redecorating my kitchen by clinging onto the belief that this highly chic 1970s style wallpaper will make a comeback and save me the need. Thoughts? Link to comment

minijc
I suppose Boof is the best for advise on things that should be kept in the 70s, we've all seen his hair. Link to comment
spamspamspam
No it'll never come back. You'll just have to strip it, sand it, fill it, put liner on it and then redecorate. Fit fun Link to comment

fatjim
How much will Millertime pay for it though? Cue 14 pages about his Walter Mitty life. Link to comment
Clydeside_Sheep
t&p - just keep the stuff, and then rent out your property for the filming of 1970s period dramas. Turn your abode into a cash-cow, make it work for you! You could retire! Link to comment

Confessions of a window cleaner was film making at its best, who would have known the hilarity one could get up to whilst cleaning windows. Link to comment

dervish
Burn down the house.Or if you enjoy a bit of sadomasochism take it off. I used this stuff called wall wik to take off stuff that had been there for twice as long as I have been alive and painted about 7 times. Made it a lot easier but for some reason then I wanted to take it to the point where I could paint the walls... What a cunt of a job. Link to comment
jassb
My house had woodchip wallpaper when I bought it. In the living room, dining room, hall, bedrooms, downstairs bog, and stairs. Fucking everywhere. Stairs were the worst bit to remove, especially when you're a short arse like me. When I decide it's time to move, if I view a house with woodchip I'll be straight out the door. Could be a fucking palace for a couple hundred quid, but I'm never going through that ever again. Could just pay some Polish dude to do it of course. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
You keeping your wood chip wallpaper up is akin to Clangers holding onto his betting slip that he'll one day get a full International call up. Link to comment
tightbreeks
how much chip wood a wood chip wood if a wood chip cood? chip wood. yup, it was robin's hair, his ability to do a phwoar face and the double denim that rocked it. so much, that if he was at it in a car the wheels would fall off and all steam and that would burst the bonnet open. Dandyesque
I've had 2 flats that I've had to remove copious amounts of woodchip from - add this to helping friends remove theirs and I've seen enough of the stuff to last a lifetime. I also know how best to get it off if you're unlucky and it doesn't come off in sheets. Score diamonds in it then steam and pray to whatever diety you prefer that the sod who lived there before you never used one of those plasticy emulsions Will be a fucking mess either way, but satisfying once you have nice smooth walls forever Link to comment
Site Sponsor Dom Sullivan Posted November 19, 2013 Site Sponsor Share Posted November 19, 2013 I dont understand the OP - wood chip has never gone out of fashion. Link to comment
