Match Fixing

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

The stupid cunt of a player involved tried and failed to get himself booked in the first half.

12.5k for nothing.

I could probably do a spot of match fixing on the Academy games if spread bets in the Far East were accepted on Highland League fixtures.

Luckily for the scorries their game yesterday was postponed. Saved them from losing. Again.

You underestimate the power of gambling in the Far East, where they bet 2 fly's going up a wall.

This is just the very tip of the iceberg,

Not really, they bet with balls over there but I can't see how you could make money off of a booking for a certain player, especially over here, most firms don't offer certain players to get booked unless it's a TV match even then you try get £25 on it and you'll struggle, media are out to slate the bookmakers, no intentions on letting the have their say, also some guy from fifa wants the bookies to only allow a minimum of a treble, joke.

Its more so illegal bookies, or bookie based over seas, hence the increased number of folk with oriental looks attending lower league football matches with a laptop, pinging info instantly back to the FAr East.

So you reckon they are making more than their initial £30k-£50k back on a player to get booked? Not a chance, regardless of it being an illegal bookie or not.

Of course I do,

As mentioned earlier, you are underestimating the gambling industry in the Far East.

Just look at the recent cricket scandals, over no balls, huge, huge monies bet on a specific ball being a no ball.

If an illegal bookies offers favorable odds on a player to be booked, the £50K investment in the players is nothing compared to the bigger picture by having that info.

You're being deliberately stupid.

Stop it and listen to what is being said before engaging anymore.

I am but for instance right, why would an illegal bookie offer say 7/4 for a player to get booked in a match, knowing that some have the cash to fix the results? Same can be said here when the boy at Motherwell got himself sent off and his family were accused of fixing it, maybe the case but they didn't make much out of it.

Saw a guy on SSN this morning, not sure who he was, but he didn't think they'd have a market to have that amount being paid. Not too sure who he was, but I assume he was meant to be an expert in the area.

I assume that Sam Sodje was telling this undercover reporter these details thinking that the guy was a match fixer, so I guess there would have been fair potential for exaggeration of the fees involved previously. I don't really think this is the relevant part anyway, doesn't really matter if it is £50 or £70,000, these are guys willing to let their own team and fans down for a quick buck. Scum.

Stop trying to be controversial.

What do you think these guys are being paid then? 50 quid ?

Much less than 70k that's a cert.

Finally someone with some fucking sense.

I heard a snippet of this on the radio.

50k to fix it for someone to get a yellow card. Bit steep.

50k is nothing in the grand schemes of hings, Far East betting is unreal, they will be on anything and everything, the thing is, they will never ban this sort of betting as the bookies will make more on all the losers than the odd match fixing game.

Bookies offer odds on time of 1st card and team to get 1st card so could get some sort of odds on a double,

E.g 3/1 on 1st card to Swansea and it being before 37 mins for game tonight.

Big enough market in Asia to cover payments and make profit on that I guess.

Doubt they'd allow the double

I'm not missing the point, do you seriously think an illegal bookie would allow x amount of k on a card in an obscure lower league match? WAKE THE FUCK UP, they are out to make money, as the blog states...

There are two main markets in Asian football betting - match results (including handicaps) and total goals. Anything else is irrelevant and/or only available to win trivial amounts.
