Geoff_Tipps
Swansea defender possible loan? Anyone know of any truth on the matter? Link to comment
buchanskii
Meh. 31, Centre Back and hasn't played a lot of games lately due to injuries. Oh well, In McInnes we trust. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Versatile and loyal defender who played a key role in my champ man game in about 2006!! For this reason sign him up - I have to thank him Link to comment
Scotty1990
Also former swansea captain a few seasons back, mature head and would hopefully bring experiance into the dressing room and onto the pitch, hopefully the next rumour is about a swoop for a new striker. Link to comment
Mikeyboy1903
Brilliant loan signing if he can keep fit.............. Link to comment

Mr Brightside
Whilst we're on the subject, the following players have no clubs: Julius AgahowaAmr ZakiFreddy AduAdrianoDavid BentleyCherno SambaAny of them would be great banter!! I agree that if Tate is fit and can get upto match fitness quickly then he could be a great signing, lots of experience and I remember seeing him play really well for Swansea a couple of seasons ago in the championship. Tord31
This lad has signed. Thread can come out of rumours. On paper a very intriguing signing. Vastly experienced Link to comment
K-9
Seems homework done on this one and deal done early. Makes a brilliant change from we will wait til end of month when squads down south take shape and see what we can do. Link to comment
King Street Loon
Decent loan signing. Can play anywhere across the back.Prodiminantly a right sided defender. So we'll say bye to Hector and hi to Tate at Killie. Link to comment
The Oxford Don
Intriguing signing although I'm not entirely sure why we need a former Scotland and Lions outside-centre, who also played rugby league. Link to comment

"I've made no secret of the fact that, even if Michael does come back, we are pretty short in terms of cover in that department, and I'm delighted to bring in someone with Alan's experience" Link to comment
dj_bollocks
So maybe we can move the thread then... Link to comment
Mikeyboy1903
Have heard that this guy could be a possible replacement for Anderson when he "retires" Link to comment
a don in oz
*groan* "While Alan is predominantly a centre back, he can also play at full back if required, and he'll go straight into the squad for Sunday." There you go. The centre back who CAN play at full back... yep. Oh well. Hope he's ok. Maybe with experience he'll be better cover at full back than Hector was. Link to comment
a don in oz
On the upside, McInnes has obviously been doing his homework to get ahead of the game to be able to bring out this signing so early in the window. Link to comment
StandFree1982
I'd rather have Tate playing LB / RB than Magennis or Clark. What's happened to Clark? I thought he was meant to be on the mend, but he's not featured at all (i think he was playing for the U20s though??). It's unlikely Clark would get anywhere near our midfield with the players we have at the moment. Link to comment

Something we've missed over the last good number of years. It's amazing how doing the little things, the things you are hired to do, can make such a big difference to a team. Link to comment
Parklife
What's happened to Clark? He's just shite at fitbaw. Would rather give a kid a game than that clown. Link to comment
spamspamspam
Know absolutely nothing about this geezer but looks like he has a good background and has played at a decent level so should be able to handle the SPFL. Unfortunately I'd say this means Hector aint expected back, if he was they would've taken this guy on a month with the option to extend at the end of it. Hard to get excited when you know nothing about a player but hopefully he'll fit in quickly and stay fit. Looks decent on paper anyhoo. Link to comment
a don in oz
Spam3: McInnes made the point in his presser that getting Tate was going to happen whether or not Hector is staying, so he wanted extra cover. So maybe if Hector is confirmed as not coming back he's got a second one up his sleeve. Link to comment
Monkey
Was a suggestion, I think on Twitter, that Hector could be back on the 31st if not sold during the window. Also I see that Tate has played right across the back 4 and also played in goals at points. If can stay healthy will be a good addition. Link to comment
tommo1903
Good. We are a full back, a striker and a goalkeeper away from winning the league Link to comment

tommo1903
If we keep Hector we will have 5 centre halfs capable of playing full back (Reynolds, Considine, Hector, Shaughnessey & Tate) but no actual full back thats made more than a handful of starts. As I've already stated due to having superior tactical knowledge, the system we are playing allows for us to have a narrow back 4. Still think we need a full back if we need to change our tactics throughout a game for whatever reason. Link to comment
a don in oz
From what I've heard Hector is desperate to stay. I've seen a few people say this... yet “If I get a chance to play at Reading then that would be great for me,” he said.“To play for them is obviously my goal so we’ll see what happens in January.“Playing for the first team is the reason I’ve been going out on loan. That’s why I’ve been trying to get so much experience. It’s getting to the stage now where it’s really close. It’s just about getting that breakthrough.” http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/michael-hector-wants-return-reading-6375049 Link to comment

Huntlysheep
Well done McInnes, a good piece of business. Amuse shows how the small things like tying up a player on the 3rd day of the window makes a difference in the grand scheme of things! Link to comment
