Pudgie
I can see a striker being let go to make room for 1 more signing before the window ends. Now, none of the above I'd say have proven themselves to be good enough so I'd be happy enough to see any of them go. Link to comment

weapon
All can get to fuck thanks. Agree, we need a clear-out!!! Fed up of blowing wages on players who are good to have around the place and who'll never command a 1st team place, Macgennis being a good example. Get rid of all dead-wood and use the wages on players who have a realistic chance of being 1st choice and use the youngsters or players like McGinn if we get injuries to strikers. It should be quality not quantity!!! 1 Link to comment
buchanskii
Think of all the deadwood we got rid of last season, if we got rid of the ones we consider as baggage this season as well, we wouldn't have had a team! Link to comment

John_B81
Would let Magennis go first, he's had nearly 4 years and all he's proven to be is another Mackie/Young - lots of effort, little/no ability. Vernon's went completely off the boil over the last two years whilst Zola is just infuriating, stands 6 foot 8 but still gets beaten to high ball!! Link to comment

StandFree1982
Might be coincidental, but since Vernon has been our main man up front we've gone from threatening to scraping results against teams. Hopefully Rooney adds a bit of movement up front as we're sorely lacking that at the moment. It might also be the reason why every attack is going down the left wing, there is nothing through the middle to play off. Link to comment
Ingolfsson
They can all go, use wages combined to get a decent striker then next season it's Rooney, signing (Taylor, Murphy) and Shankland as striker options. Link to comment

In all seriousness, I'd get rid of Magennis or Zola first. Both offer nothing and then let Vernon go at end of the season. All are really shite, and we can and must do better than them. Pudgie
The only one I can see worth selling or loaning out is Zola. Magennis and Vern are out of contract at the end of the season so might as well just get rid of them then. Link to comment

mavv1903
I would keep vernon till end of season also magennis as he is a decent impact sub..Let Zola find new club...But he has a contract so unless he wants to go..I also heard rumour about Burton wanting him back.. Link to comment
Stoneybloke
Difficult to pick any one of them out because of mitigating circumstances, i.e. if they were missing loads of glaring goal scoring opportunities on a regular basis, then yes, they ought to be weeded out. However the opportunities and chances they are being given are few and far between. Maybe they are just not suited to the system currently employed. Who is remains to be seen. Link to comment

Other than the game in Inverness he just floats about up front doing fuck all Link to comment

Stoneybloke
No floating about doing fuck all would be an excellent startI thought you could perhaps be more imaginative and constructive in evaluating Vernon's role in the team but obviously not. Maybe it appears he is doing nothing because of a total lack of service from those who are meant to be supporting him. Link to comment
nazrat
The earlier comment that since we started using Vernon again we appear to struggle to threaten teams is a good call. Get Vernon gone and replaced now. No point keeping add the square root of FA. Link to comment

I doubt if even the "King" himself, Joey Harper, would be scoring many goals the way things are in the team just now. Link to comment

Worryingly, I was just reading an Oldham fan's comment regarding Rooney, where he says, "He's not scoring because he doesn't get the service." Now if Vernon isn't scoring because he isn't getting service then we're presumably switching one problem for the same problem. There are strikers out there who can create their own chances, however that kind of striker is way beyond our level of finances. Link to comment

He can't control a ball.He has a turning circle similar to a small planet. He is slower than a week in jail. They'd be the main problems with him. 2 Link to comment
