Henry
Magennis away and it denies Novo a contract Surprised he wasn't allowed to go permanently. Link to comment

super_al
We did not want him to leave permanently. DM thinks he has potential. Link to comment
minijc
Mcinnes thinks he has big potential, interesting that because I don't think he improved in his time here, still wish him all the best and hope this works out well for him, i did mention a few weeks ago he'd be going out on loan. The Hulk
I hope he does well. If St Mirren wanted him permanently but we said no, I imagine DM must have challenged him to prove worthy of a contract. Let's hope it has the Pawlett effect. Link to comment
barassie_afc
He is out of contract at end of season, so that statement from Mcinnes doesnt make sense Link to comment
buchanskii
I don't think he has any potential whatsoever. I think he's a terrible player, with no game intelligence or consistent technical ability. I'd be more than happy to eat my words if he goes down to St Mirren, starts a load of games, and gets his confidence up. I doubt that will happen though. 1 Link to comment

The Hulk
He is out of contract at end of season, so that statement from Mcinnes doesnt make sense Read between the lines though. There is nothing stopping Magennis signing a pre-contract with St Mirren**. If Lennon wanted him like he said he does, he'd offer it and if Josh wanted it he'd sign it. Looks like neither has happened so I suspect he wants to prove himself worthy of a new contract with us. **EDIT - at age 23 (not 24 until August), would we be entitled to compensation for him? StandFree1982
Josh seems like a nice enough lad. He's got some natural attributes that can make him a very dangerous player if he can get improve on his actual footballing ability. McInnes obviously sees this and going to St Mirren can only help give him more experience and game time. Link to comment
mavv1903
Magennis out on loan and Chris Clark has been terminated.. Bringing in someone else ? 1 Link to comment

paddy
Another good decision. Magennis is out of contact in the summer so I assume Saint Mirren will make this permanent in the summer? Unless we plan or have extended his contract ? Link to comment
minijc
D.McInnes: We like having Josh around but he needs to play regularly in order to get a new deal, and the door is still open. From AFC twitter Link to comment

No if it was cross border. @Ollie - what has happened to suggest his attitude is shite? Link to comment
ollie1903
I watch him when he plays. He's definitely went to the Ricky Foster Blame Anyone Else To Mask My Own Failings School of Ineptitude. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment
minijc
You can say alot about Josh but shit attitude isn't one, in fact I wish a few of our other players had his attitude and by all accounts he's a very funny and nice chap. 2 Link to comment
ChookterDon
He has a fantastic attitude. I do reckon that if given playing time he will prosper. Look at Pawlett! A lot of fans thought he was pish. Look at him now! Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 1 Link to comment

Had he not have been able to shake the injury problems he was better off going, there is a big deifference between that and magennis just being useless. Link to comment

K-9
Maybe just me but bit worried that if chasing a game and need to inject a bit of bite into a game we only have Vernon and Zola as our impact subs up front now!! Link to comment
