minijc
Like many I've been going to home and away matches for the best part of 11 years (some much more obviously) and I'm now noticing we seem to be attracting absolute mutants, ones that just sit back and accept a poor performance, slate fans that voice their opinions when they think things are unacceptable, also they seem to want to make a day at the football a huge family friendly tea party with their wacky phrases such as "Redinburgh" and now "Parkred" where will it end? What makes it worse aswell is, just because they have a facebook group it makes them a better fan than anyone else, shower of cunts. Link to comment
dunc_afc
The technological age. It'll never end unfortunately. History would suggest otherwise. Link to comment

What makes it worse aswell is, just because they have a facebook group it makes them a better fan than anyone else, shower of cunts. It is not exclusive to football. There seems to be more and more of a culture of being seen to be a decent person through certain means. Normally the means that requires the least effort on their part, a bit of social media activity or the likes. Self congratulatory attention seekers craving acceptance. Link to comment
minijc
Haha tommy you dick. I kind of agree Roberton but it's more widespread, seems people only want to go to games and other sporting events to try be some sort of super fan but get all touchy when something they don't like happens, people getting slated for booing a poor performance, getting told you must cheer every player in your side, jesus, the game has gone. King Street Loon
As said.Social media has played a huge part in this new 'breed'. I'm more perturbed by the young bampots who think it's acceptable to vandalise seats etc when away from home. And yes I know away fans do it when they come up to us, but I find it pointless. 1 Link to comment

At the game you equally get a few morons who could do with being telt to shut the fuck up, get all ends of the spectrum. Link to comment
BrianFaePerth
Modern football fans are scum. Bring back the days of going to a game in a suit and flat cap while some cheeky young urchin annoys the fuck out of everyone with his rattle. Link to comment

chaos_defrost
Go to the majority of home games and got absolutely no idea what the original poster is talking about and have never heard of Edinburgh being referred to as Redinburgh or Parkhead as Parkred. I would think the majority of people that actually go to games don't post on football messageboards or unofficial AFC Facebook and Twitter pages. 1 Link to comment
the_shrimp
I missed this too. The only mutants I see at the fitba are those who wreck seats and parts of the stadium when the club prob has to pay for it. Link to comment

Byrne Baby Byrne
Is this new breed of fans the ones you see wanking over Jamie Langfield and Josh Magennis on twitter just because they tweet them back? Seen a lot of tossers battering their meat over clangers kissing the badge at Tynecastle. Nit. Link to comment
