barassie_afc
Think it is apparent that flood/robson and or jack as the deep lying midfielders is the way forward , better shape and fluency rather than trying to accomodate all three Link to comment
minijc
Would agree, playing the 3 of them just doesn't work and now with just the two we look so much more fluent especially when we attack. Link to comment
K-9
All 3 we have in middle now are way better and give us much better shape. Jack after great start to season had went well off form and everything he did seemed to slow our play down. Calming influence when winning at times but offers little when going after a game. Tord31
Absolutely agree. Wee spell for Jack on the bench when he comes back (for the final). Link to comment
CalgaryDon
Agree, having said that, jack has been poor for a wee while now and I actually think he'll benefit from his time out. Aberdeen's game will change slightly as a result, and for the better I hope. He isn't in the same league as Robson and Flood. Would be good to have him come on off the bench. He still young and will only improve. Link to comment
Red Dragon
Robson sitting deeper is far preferable to him playing wide right of the 3 forward midfielders. McGinn and Hayes playing on their natural sides offering more threat whereas Robson slowed things down. Jack'll struggle to get back into the starting line-up but good to have the option to rotate Flood/Robson/Jack. COYR Link to comment
ollie1903
Ryan Jack is one of Aberdeens better footballers. One man's disappointment is anothers opportunity though and If we keep playing as we are i'd have no problem with him being left out. Link to comment

Agree he's a good player but we definitely should not try to accommodate Jack, Flood and Robson in the same midfield. That was having a detrimental effect on our performances. Robson out wide was no good, needs to be central. Jack needs to wait his turn now. Link to comment

Bigslick
Jack's calming influence on a game is not to be underestimated, he can effortlessly create time and space for himself on the ball better than anyone else in our team. Robson and Flood are better at closing down opposition players and forcing mistakes but Jack keeps our flow going better. Jack is better for games where we should expect to dominate possession but Flood and/or Robson are better option for games like Saturday where we can dominate by stifling other teams. Link to comment
