Sonoftherock
How many is he on now? I make it 4 goals in 4 starts (plus another 3 performances off the bench). He's doing himself no harm, that's for sure. Link to comment
Tord31
how many goals so far? replacement for one of vernon/magennis - and sign 1 new striker Link to comment
barassie_afc
Should be recalled immediately and zola kneecapped 1 Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Get rid of Zola, Magennis and Vernon at the end of the season. Rooney, Shankland and 1 more signing would do for the 1 striker starting slot Link to comment

Tord31
Need to keep the team together - and its great we look like having the lowest summer turnover in quite a while - no need to be having ten players move on every summer Link to comment
Stoneybloke
Need to keep the team together - and its great we look like having the lowest summer turnover in quite a while - no need to be having ten players move on every summerMaybe not ten, but a few will be going as their contracts end. There must also be questions as to how long the likes of Anderson and Robson can continue. No harm in refreshing the team with the right type of player. Link to comment
Bigslick
Need to keep the team together - and its great we look like having the lowest summer turnover in quite a while - no need to be having ten players move on every summerAgreed, one of our biggest problems over the last few years is the mass exodus every summer. Shankland certainly showing promise again, hopeful that he could be one of our striking options next season. Link to comment
dave_min
A new Goalkeeper. A full back. A new striker. Sorted. Link to comment
dunf_sheep
I was referring to the fact that I do not think Anderson and Robson have another full season in them. Also, Considine is not a full back and Shaughnessy didn't look great shakes today, so that now makes 2 FB's required.McGinn looks like he has given up as of late as well. G31DON
I'd Like to see Cammy Smith getting some game time ahead of Nicky Low, liked what i saw of him when he was covering for Robson when he was out injured at the begining of the season. In fact i think I'd like to see him in the team ahead of McGinn for a couple of games. 100% get rid of Zola & Vernon 1 Link to comment

For midfield - the midfield two will be Jack and Flood with Robson as back-up. No need to sign anyone immediately until no more about Low and more particularly Storie - if they can step up. A full back, A goalkeeper and a striker are the definites. But for a change they are replacing subs as opposed to us losing several first picks. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Considine was looking good for a Scotland call up last season playing in his proper position. He's a better centre half than Hector. Short term solution??? Niggawut?? Link to comment
Tord31
Well they are both left footers, and how many games have they played together in a row? Go with it and then judge later - i.e initial/short term solution. If it aint working we change Link to comment

They will have to be used wisely next season but I'm positive they can play on next year. Shaughnessy was horrendous in the second half yesterday as was Considine! Good to see Shankland bangin in the gols, let's hope he can step up next season. Link to comment
CalgaryDon
Zola, Vernon, low, shaughnessy, Robertson (don't rate him either) need to go. And defo keep McGinn! He'll comeback! Would much rather see smith play over low any day. We need a forward who is equally if not better then Rooney (Jamie Murphy please!), a midfielder to come in and replace Robson (think there's another year in him), a defender who is good enough to play alongside Reynolds and Considine. In all honestly, I didn't expect us to win yesterday, however we'll bounce back. Partick are a good side and we haven't been exactly amazing of late. Needed a kick up the arse and a reality check. And Pawlett needs to sort his act out, way to much rave about this lad, despite scoring against St Johnstone and Celtic, I'm not of the opinion he's good enough for Scotland. Totally agree with Strachan in his reasonings to not included anyone from our team. Derek Mcinnes will get us back on track. Link to comment
CalgaryDon
Shankland looks promising but I wouldn't get too excited just yet. I don't feel he's ready considering he's playing in division 2 for the second best team in there league. Yes there are players who are good enough to play in the SPL from that division, but I'd like DM to make an assessment over pre season and get an idea of where lad is at. I'd consider sending him out to a championship side (not England) for a season next year. Link to comment
Tord31
Well he'd be considered for replacing Magennis i'd say. As you say look at it and if he's not quite there loan him out in August. It would be for replacing Vernon that we'd be looking for someone much more experienced Link to comment

dj_bollocks
Good enough to know where the back of the net is... Good enough to get some game time for the Dons... Honestly, Vernon, Zola, et al should be the ones getting punted out on loan for game time and to find where the back of the net is again. Zola has no right to call himself a striker after his laughable 20 mins yesterday... Link to comment

What a lot of rot. He's easily been one of our best players this season along with Reynolds. He's been one of the main focus points in all our attacking/forward play this season.Created shit loads of chances & won us countless free kicks (even though he doesn't get as many as he should because of his previous history with diving) if we hadn't had him this season we would not be near where we are this season. I'd consider sending him out to a championship side (not England) for a season next year.He played ( & banged in goals) for QotS the season before & was BOUGHT (well compo paid for) for the fact that he is a very good prospect yes but just because he's a prospect, doesn't mean he cannot do a job for us now.Jack, Low, Smith etc. are all prospects also & they can do a job.He doesn't have to be a main stay player but I dare say that had he been in the squad this season (which in hindsight he deserved) he'd have done a lot better than all of Vernon, Zola & Magennis. He's gained plenty experience as a young lad playing against seniors already. He WILL (& deservedly so imo) be a squad player for us next season to replace any of the three departing "strikers" & he could very well be an important player. He'll certainly be better option than any of the "three amigos" You are seemingly under rating him because of not knowing a thing about him, or just basically because he's young. Where as you over rate every keeper in the SPFL, Championship and beyond because you're a goalkeeping glue pot. 4 Link to comment
