StandFree1982
Now this is the sort of thing I might expect A Don in Oz to be interested in... Just had another look at your blog to see if it's been undated. It hasn't....lazy bastard!!! Anyways, in Game 6 you wrote the following which I found amusing: That puts the Dons in second. Fuck me with a big fat dildo... it'll never last. Enjoy it while you can. Just shows how far we've come this season where our expectations are that if we're near the top....it won't last! That Analogy could be used for Clangers, with a slight change, "Clangers came out of his box swinging his arms like a mentally deranged retarded kid trying to catch a balloon". Link to comment

I got the Railway Club near Hampden to open for us on QoS semi day, aren't there any decent sized social clubs towards east end that might do us a turn? Link to comment

daytripping
Disappointing Big V. If you take her to The Counting House don't be offended if she's chopped in two by all the magnetic piercing rape eyes that will most certainly be shooting her way. I'll be in the counting house cheese, come say hello if you see me. I'm nae walking up to random biker looking chaps with beards asking if they're cheesepipes. Link to comment

Stop changing your avatar, it makes it hard for "sight hounds" like me to find you in a thread Re your question: There is a Railway mans club in Shettleston, it must about 2 km or so east of sellick park, so definitely walkable. Its quite close to Shettleston train station (handily for the railwaymen), meaning it can be easily and quickly reached from Queen St Station, where train-bound dandies will arrive from Aberdeen. I have never been in it, and I have not actually set eyes on it recently - but assume its still there. I used to see it going by on the train - looked a reasonable size, but a modest building. Shettleston Railway-mans ClubGartocher TerraceGlasgowG32 OHE Dont have a phone number for it, but if you have difficulty, maybe the Railway Club near Hampden can put you in touch with them. Shettleston also has a junior football team and a bowling club, both of which will have bars. These are all in roughly the same area. http://www.shettlestonjuniors.co.uk/ Shettleston Bowling Club53-59 Culrain St, Glasgow G32 7AB0141 778 1278 There is also a Bowling Club in Tollcross: Tollcross Bowling ClubCausewayside StGlasgowG32 8LP0141 778 6763 Causewayside St is just off London Road, but East of Sellick park. Its probably a similar walking distance as the Railway club, probably a slightly closer and slightly easier for folk who dont know the area. Also, I am a member of the Sikorsky Polish Club in Glasgow. Its a former Polish ex-servicemans club, now a cultural-centre / social club with bar and restauant. I could put you in touch with them, if you want, but the issue is that its actually west of Charing X (close to the Art Gallery and University) and so not particularly handy for Sellick park. I think your best bet would to be try Shettleston Juniors in the first insance. Link to comment
Clydeside_Sheep
Just looked at the Shettleston Juniors webpage - there is a venue hire / party page - get it sorted for a pre-match party!
