Parking near Parkhead

Recommended Posts

Any suggestions?

I was planning on just parking in Cowcaddens and then getting a train out there but I'm aware that The Forge retail park is nearby, so do your reckon this would be better or do they have some policy or stewards in place that won't let you park?

Pretty had to stop you parking... are they going to employ hundreds of stewards to check every single person who parks there? Improbable.

Anyway, I believe they let the tims park there, and there's not a chance they'd be using the retail facilities. We plan on going inside after we park up and chilling out for a couple of hours, as there's kids in our group.... not even bothering trying to get in a pub close to the stadium.

The new cycling velodrome across the road has a big car park roon the back, failing that the houses down a wee bit have loads of street parking, that's where we always park when going to the shithole

They've got registration plate cameras at the Forge retail park car parks so you might be in for a few threatening letters in the weeks after the final if you park there for more than two hours. If you're not fussed about that and just put them straight in the bin then all's well with the world.

Failing that there's a lot of new build houses to the west and south of the stadium. The Commonwealth Games village is pretty much complete as well but I don't know if they've opened up the streets there. Probably not. You really won't need to park too far away and bother with trains across the city.

Remember the time restrictions in car parks that fine for going over limit are unenforceable in Scotland

It's not enforceable in England or Wales either.... they are scamming folk and the uneducated who pay, are keeping these companies going.
