Guest
Sunday 1pm... starts Albyn Place and ends at Town House (so top to bottom of Union St). Not quite the CWC, but a cup for the city to behold once more. Link to comment
RUL
Am I the only one thinking it should go down Kings Street to Pittodrie, let the people fill the ground for free and get people in the club shop buying lots of new merch whilst getting loads of photo opportunities for the players and club? ollie1903
I'll be at lennoxtown, so it should start there Link to comment

caledonia
I'll be at lennoxtown, so it should start there I would start it in London and walk it up the M1 Link to comment
Boras83
Almost a week after winning the Scottish League Cup there's an opportunity for a good turnout to see the cup back at Pittodrie. But a day later - a full week after winning it - is there really a need for a victory parade? The season will have moved on since ParkRed. If we can't have a spontaneous parade within 24 hours of winning silverware I don't see the point in it. Link to comment
Tord31
McInnes too professional to see preparation for Killie game disrupted by it and probably senior folk at club insistant we do something. Also, a Sunday probably easier for road closures Link to comment
daytripping
Parading a league cup, mmmh We used to call it the Mickey Mouse cup, I have my reservations that our standards have slipped too low. I think after the Killie game would be adequate, get people through the door spending money. Scottish cup or league no problems, they're the big ones. 2 Link to comment

Especially all the kids. It's the sort of atmosphere that will make them hungry for more & have them thinking about following the club more. Link to comment
Nelly
Agree with Dayts - only League Champions or Scottish Cup deserves a street parade, League cup can be paraded at Pittodrie on Saturday Link to comment
Stoney
Whilst im pleased as it will be another chance to build excitement round the city and will create a buzz, I agree with the majority, theres unfinished business to attend to here. If they were going to do it - it should have been yesterday. Link to comment

Well, not so much that, but the fact we've won the square root of feck all for 19 years, perhaps - just perhaps - this is justifiable given the circumstances. And anything, and I means ANYTHING, that promotes an afinity and pride in both our football team and our City, is wholly valid in my eyes. We are no longer giant killers of Europe, or kings of Scotland... we are where we are and small steps are what's needed. Anyway, the only folk that call it the diddy cup, tend to be those that get knocked out or beat in the final. On a slightly different note - I see our fine Labour led council, are dipping into the Common Good Fund to the tune of £25,000 to finance this. First off, what the hell do we need £25,000 for, for an open top bus parade? I can only assume this will be for the lavish food and booze on supply at the Civic Reception afterwards... how is that benefiting the public for which the Common Good Fund is set aside????? If Councillor Crock-o'shit and his band of merry dickheads, want to polish their ego's in front of our team, then this can come out of Labour/Tory funds. The rest of it - just needs a few litres of diesel for the open top bus, and the 1hrs overtime for the bus driver's wages! The Police can arrange for everything like stewarding/closing roads etc. They will be working anyway! Link to comment

Pudgie
A workmate's loon is going along. Hope this will be an ex-tim and a future Don. This is what we need for bulking up the fanbase with some of the people that didn't even go to the final. There's an awful lot of glory hunters to be targeted and hopefully we won't be without glory for a while again. Link to comment
