SheepieBaaBaa
Anyone know anything more on Hayes injury? Hoping it's just a minor knock, he's been excellent on the left the last couple of months. Really impressed with his effort, work rate and hunger. Great win yesterday, but the lack of a connection betweem midfield and Striker(s) with Pawlet and Hayes missing really showed when McGinn is off the boil. My opinion of Hayes has gone even higher since his tweet "And see when you bunch of good c*nts were singing my name after we picked up the cup, thank you! What a feeling that was! Can't buy that" Now that's a quote. Link to comment
elephantstone78
Ha eloquently put jonny. I thought we really missed him yesterday he destroyed st Johnstone in the semi. Na na na na na na na na jonny Hayes jonny Hayes jonny jonny hayes Link to comment
Guest
Wow, what a quote, what a guy, and in real language too. Love Hayes. A class act. Best goal seen at Pittodrie ever too. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Slightly concerned that shoulder injury was to the right one. He's been holding the left for months now. EDIT: just read papers - apparently he's been wearing some kind of harness. Eeecht. He and Pawlett would have made massive difference yesterday - same with St J - try and play everything through the middle and you play to these team's level. No disrespect, just fact. Link to comment
Dynamo
5 games in two weeks coming up. Fingers crossed nothing major but don't risk him. Link to comment
tightbreeks
the injury kind of scuppered our game plan. we had no one left in midfield willing to run into the acres in front of them, maybe robson wised up a bit, but there was several occasions where jack could've bombed forward and even got beyond the front men, but it seems no one was left with that kind of outlook. maybe against a big team we hold back a wee bitty, but in the future i think our midfield can take a chance and get forrit, the defence can take care of itself. great pens though, best i've seen for a while. still the coolest looking team when lifting cups! been a while. Guest
Aye, but how many bars have you been in? True story. As teenagers we were wondering where to go for a bevvy one day and couldn't decide. We got the Yellow Pages out and identified the 22 bars in Aberdeen we'd never been to between us. Most were Bucksburn and Dyce but we jumped on busses and by the end of a pished weekend, at the Double Two at Balnagask, we have ticked off them all. Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
No official announcement yet as to what his injury is? My guess would be a broken collar bone & I'm (fearing the worst) thinking we will be without him for a lot of games.Massive loss at the moment. Especially as he was just starting to show his real self on the left side. Link to comment
Bamber
if it was a collar bone he was doing damn well holding up the cup popped out popped in? Link to comment
Geoff_Tipps
Season over. Straight from the horses mouth, he is currently out drinking with some mates at the Gas Lamp. Link to comment
SheepieBaaBaa
Season over. Straight from the horses mouth, he is currently out drinking with some mates at the Gas Lamp. Hope that's not the case, although would rather see him get the recovery time he needs rather than "rushed back".Just hope McGinn can find his form again if Hayes is out though. A lot of our attacking threat has been from Hayes down the left. Link to comment
ebbe
he seemed ok last night when I was cuddling him outside soul casino. his minder is a wanker though. Link to comment
Tord31
Massive blow if he is out for rest of season but kinda forget its less 7/8 weeks of season left and was thinking 6 weeks for a broken collarbone if it is the case Link to comment

Guest
Mcinnes said was his clavicle and it was impeding his breathing It won't be collar bone... if that was broken, there's not a snowballs chance in hell that he'd have carried on, even for 3/4 mins. It will be this: http://www.sportscarephysio.com.au/resources/ac-joint-injury More likely a grade 1 or 2. I did mine falling off a MX bike - grade 3. My arm couldn't be supported and gave way. He seemed to be able to run with it, so it wasn't a grade 3.... no way. As I said in another thread, I was back working offshore within 10 days, although fortunate I was a desk jockey. I would put a grade 2 recovery at 4 weeks max for an AC tear. I would be really surprised if his season is over given that there's still 8 weeks to go (more or less). Link to comment
The Oxford Don
Out for 6 weeks according to the BBC. So we'd have him back for the last couple of league fixtures, is that about right? Link to comment
Tord31
Derek McInnes on sportsound tonight - 'its a collarbone and he should be out for six weeks, of course we'll hope he can be available before then but we have to say six weeks at the moment' Link to comment
tutankamun
Out for 6 weeks according to the BBC. So we'd have him back for the last couple of league fixtures, is that about right?"We think a maximum six weeks," confirmed manager Derek McInnes on BBC Radio Scotland."We're hopeful it might be a bit sooner, but we've got to be on the safe side at the minute." http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/26657572 He should be back for the post-split games and the SC final obviously... If we are lucky, he might even make semi final. Link to comment
StandFree1982
I hope that if Hayes is out, the rest of the team rally and destroy St Johnstone to give him a final to look forward to, especially after the League Cup Final. Pawlett will be dying to play in a final as well. Link to comment
barassie_afc
Quite short on width and pace wylde going has left us a wee bit short (stinking attitude however) Link to comment

The Oxford Don
Just go 4-3-3. Flood, Robson, Jack in midfield, with Pawlett, Rooney and McGinn up front. Alternatively a 4-4-2 with Vernon and Rooney up top, and McGinn and Pawlett wide, might work. Link to comment
