There are still circuses?

The thing that surprised me most is the fact there are still circuses.

 

I remember going to the circus as a kid and thinking how shit the circus was. I don't remember a whole lot about it... it was down at the beach, I remember elephants and clowns and there might have been a chick standing on a horse.... it was bollocks from start to finish and it smelled like a farm.

 

I can't have been the only kid to think "Fuck, this is just horrible."

 

Anyone been to a circus and thought, "Hey, this is magic, this is."?

Zippy's Circus comes round every year. No animals these days which is good as I'm not overly keen on animals being locked up in cages and abused to perform.

 

The two kids absolutely love it.

 

What's not to like?

 

I'd also add if you're ever in Las Vegas soon pay a visit to Circus Circus.

 

Proper casino experience and like being in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. They still have the Merry go round bar that Johnny Depp freaks out in. Magical.

Circuses are shite for the reason given above. And the ones without animals are shite because they're shite. I too have been once and once only when I was a kid. I think it was near the AECC. Run by Pikeys. I remember nothing about it other than it was very forgettable.
