Itunes Error

This error is slowly taking over my life!!! Any help would be appreciated, It only started a week or so ago but has gotten worse and worse and now I can't sync anything out of my library onto my Ipod. When I connect my ipod it starts to sync but before it does anything, an error message says 'Itunes cannot sync. An unknown error has occurred (-54)'.

After doing much research, I think it may be due to a problem with locked files?? I'm wondering how I go about finding these files and then how do I unlock them? I've done a few other things but all no joy. I'm on windows 8 if that helps.

Turn your computer off and back on again. Is that not what every IT guru says. Usually whilst wearing a cartoon style t shirt

Usually I belt the outside of the computer with a wrench until something sparks out the back. Then I tell them they need a new computer.

"Yup, it's just as I suspected.... impact damage. Did anyone hit this thing with a wrench?"

Kelt.

You're not a fan of aipple are you.

Place I worked at issued us with Blackberry. Then they changed to Apple.

Even back then I couldn't believe that the fucking thing didn't operate as an external drive, that the battery was hardwired, that there was no expansion, that the thing had to be tethered to ONE primary computer, that the file format was proprietary, that Apps were literally screened by Apple themselves, you need to use iTunes (which is notoriously cuntbaggy on PC) to get anything on or off the device, you can't delete on the fly, and a whole bunch of stupid shit intended to deliberately cripple Apple devices that I can't even remember right now.

Oh,and if you want it to function as anything but a cheerfully glowing brick you have to literally fucking HACK the thing... thus voiding any warranty.

And now, with Siri, all information spoken or typed into your Apple device finds its way back to Apple. And they're telling no-one who gets all your information or details, but it's Homeland Security, just in case anyone was wondering,.

Certainly if I want to haunt forums trying to get my smartphone/tablet to do the simple shit I should be doing intuitively, I'll consider Apple.

Then I'll shoot myself right in the face.

At least they'll be handing out decent headphones now...the white pish was medieval.

Oh aye, the Beats panic buy.

That was some corporate genius right there.

Dre made out though, so props to him.

Props is what the kids say because congratulations is too many fucking syllables.

I've bought a one man band band kit. Saves shelling out for a set of Dr Dre and an iPod.

My fitness levels have went though the roof and I'm now shit hot at playing the base drum, the mouth organ and the cymbal.

Don't have to fuck about with downloading tunes either.

I just play what I want.

I play what I want, I play what I want, my name is Boofon, I play what I want.

Did you confuse the folks there by calling it a spanner to start with?

I have many gripes with Apple. I own an iPod and I have tried the iPhone so i've got first hand experience of how frustrating iTunes can be.

Take, for example, the iPod classic. You want to put music on it quickly from another persons machine, but you find that you have to download the bloated pile of excrement that is iTunes before you can even see what you have on your fucking iPod. Once you have iTunes installed you then have a limited number of machines that you can plug your ipod into before it becomes a useless paperweight.

Every so often my iPod decides that it can't be read by itunes and it requires to be wiped! Sometimes I can simply just do a reset on the thing, using some convoluted button press that requires 7 fingers and the dexterity of a chinese acrobat.

As Kelt has stated above, why the fuck can't they just be used as a hard drive where you can drag and drop YOUR music that YOU paid for onto it? It can be used as a hard drive for files etc, but not the thing that it was designed to hold which is YOUR MUSIC.

The iPads lack of USB and SD card slot is just nonsense and nothing more than a way of making you buy the newest iPish product as it has more memory and will run their super new software, which looks exactly the same as the last software only with slightly cleaner edges, as this wonderful software has suddenly made your old phone/device run slower than normal.
