NorthernLights24
Like most aspects of football the World Cup is full of clichés. Here we have one that happens before every tournament... African team in disagreement over money, threaten not to go Link to comment
Ke1t
Watching the Nigerians against team Yankmerica last night, I kept thinking "The Nigerians are lazy and disinterested..,. shit, am I being racist or observant?" I wasn't sure, but then I didn't care. I walk the line. Link to comment

buchanskii
The involvement of brazil in a game is usually accompanied by a "carnival atmosphere." so expect to hear that a few times this tournament. 3 Link to comment
ollie1903
The heavy handed policing sparked the trouble by the English fans Link to comment

newcastlered
When Rickie Lambert is on the pitch the commentators will mention how incredible it is just years ago he was a builder. If Lampard scores a goal when goal line technology is inevitably used "if only we had that four years ago" will be mentioned Link to comment

newcastlered
The Germans (and the rest of the world) wish they had it 48 years ago Aye but the BBC and ITV don't want to remind us it's only an injustice when it happens to England. When it happens to the opponent it's just "football". Link to comment
Merkie84
Don't write off the Germans. Italy play football "like a game of chess" General patronising of any countries the do called "experts" don't know anything about. Link to comment
Rubinho Escocia
The Italians start the tournament slowly - I heard that mentioned last night and seems to have been the case... Link to comment
fifered
English players struggle not cause they aren't good enough but because they are tired because they play their league football at such a high tempo. Not sure what tempo the 60% of players who are foreign in the premiership are playing but they seem to manage fine in world cups and euros. Link to comment
Merkie84
When the commentators mention how a player had " a poor spell at ( insert guffy team here) " but are then shocked that he could have developed into a good player elsewhere. Link to comment
