ChutneyLove
I'm going 0-2 for this one. Don't think that guff team can beat Italy. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
1-1 or 0-0 I reckon. Expecting a cagey match, particularly given the conditions. Link to comment
vanderark14
http://www.buzzfeed.com/tomphillips/what-it-would-be-like-if-england-actually-won-the-world-cup not bad especially a bit further down.......................... If the price of us gaining Independence was that lot winning the world cup Id bite their fucking hands off Link to comment
beer gut
Depends what team the guffs put out. If a miracle happens and Hodgson actually grew a set of balls and starts Barkley, Sterling, Lallana, Sturridge and Lambert bench Rooney i'd maybe favour England however i think he will go with the usual suspects, probably play players out of position and play right into the Italians hands. England don't have the players to play a possession game and the will struggle with the conditions. Neither team will want to play for the win, they will both play not to lose.I think this game has 0-0 written all over it maybe the Azzurri will nick a goal and it will be 0.1. Link to comment
Bluto10
Italians are either very good at world cups or once every often rubbish.England are normally solid a d unspectacular. Unless it's more than a two goal margin this game could go either way Link to comment
daytripping
Italy will be the surprise team of the tournament, I'm tipping them to win it. 3-0 against the guffs, will play them off the park. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
Italy HT, Italy FT paying nearly x 5.0 at my bookie - not sure how this compares with other bookies? Link to comment
Bluto10
I reckon for once england will exceed expectations. Link to comment
Bluto10
Its a tough WC to predict.Brazil obvious choice as I think Spain are past their best now. Tea.s know them too well. Holland and Germany have missed their chance to win a tournament. Argentina will have the support if not the defence. And the rest are much of a muchness. That said a few goals from a player like Rinaldo could take his decent side all the way for a shock win. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
I reckon for once england will exceed expectations. I reckon that group is the hardest to predict out of them all. Two from Uruguay, England and Italy - fuck knows which order! Link to comment
dave_min
Is it ok to have a bit of a man-crush on Pirlo? Link to comment
boboisared
Barkley won't start. Was late for the team bus eysterday and almost missed training. Hodgson will be a stickler for time keeping etc. Link to comment
minijc
Think Welbeck will start, use his pace and work rate to their advantage, not that he offers much else but if he's put in to do one job he'll do it well. Link to comment
beer gut
Guffs are taking the anti malarial drug Malerone. Anyone who has taken this stuff while working in Malarial countries knows being on this stuff can be horrible. Could cost them dearly. When i was on it i felt like i had no energy and felt like crap. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/10/england-malaria-tablets-world-cup-italy-roy-hodgson Link to comment
The Boofon
Idiots. If they got Malaria they'd be out of the World Cup before the effects took hold. All you do then is blast a load of tablets and you're well again. Link to comment

I took it whilst down in West Africa. Mental dreams every night. It was like going to the pictures for free. Except the films were disturbingly violent. I got the same effect when I took Champix. I took Malarone when I was back in Aberdeen because I liked it so much! Link to comment

The Boofon
No idea what the score will be here. Weather and humidity will play a part but nobody seems to even take this into consideration. I don't think I've heard anyone mention it yet. I like watching Italy just because of Boofon. (The correct way to spell it) Link to comment
don corleone
I hope Italy win and if they show up I'm confident they will, but you never know with the Italians. They are often rotten in the group stages of tournaments. Link to comment
newcastlered
If England play well and win comfortably the pundits are going to be a horror show. Can't be doing with hearing Lawrenson and Chiles all giddy. Hopefully Hart has a horror show. Link to comment
