daytripping
Joke decision to not give Bosnia a perfectly good goal, would take 10 seconds for the 4th official to watch a replay, really find it hard to believe in this day and age we're not using modern technology. I have Dzeko to score with a Bosnia win on at the bookies, an inept linesman robs money from mine and others pockets. I could tell in real time it was a good goal, how can a guy 25 feet away not. And what about where they ARE offside but it's not given then they go on to score, do you pull it back? Link to comment

I'd favour the tennis idea, a manager is allowed say two reviews a half, where the ball is in the net and it was close it should be reviewed, the stakes are too high at this level not too. It works in American football Link to comment
daytripping
Had a haggis hot dog in your local today Dayts...was exceptional. Some terrible decisions in this world cup since beginning. Least we know its not just Scottish officials who are inept. Haggis hot dog sounds crap, have never had it, will take your word and give it a go. What were you doing in this neck of the woods? I'd have came down for a beer if I'd known you were in. Link to comment

It works in American footballAmerican football is an 60 minute game that takes 3 hours to play because it stops and starts so much. Tennis is also a stop-start game obviously. I like the fact that football doesn't stop, surely that's part of its appeal? Also the fact that the referees decision is final and only the referee. Goal line technology is now being used but that's instantaneous and factual, the game only stops if the ball crosses the line. If there was a way of using technology to give an instantaneous offside 'yes/no' decision then I would be all for it but I am against stopping the game to review decisions (even if it was twice per team per half). Plus I still don't know how your solution would apply to a situation where the offside wasn't given, how would the game be stopped? Link to comment

You could almost certainly stick some sort of identifiable tag on each player that alerts the referee if a player was in an offside position. The SPFL would never stand for that, though.
