boboisared
Folk on twitter complaining that VAR ruined that game. Man City would have won with an offside goal. Couldn't give a shit if the fans had already celebrated the goal. Was quite funny to see the usually calm and composed Pep make a cunt of himself. Link to comment

Man City fan here at work saying definite handball and not offside. What a buzz that must have been for Spurs. Absolutely distraught and elation within a minute. 1 Link to comment

Sonoftherock
VVD quite rightly getting a lot of praise for his performances this season, but I don't think he covered himself in glory last night. He was nowhere near Suarez for the first goal. Criminal for a player of that quality to be left completely unchallenged like that in the 6 yard box. VVD is tracking him moving into the 18 yard box, then completely goes to sleep. Perhaps a little harsh, but VVD also guilty of ball watching during the second goal. Link to comment
Poodler
Ach not even the big leg of derek whyte would have made it in front of messi from VVD's position when it bounced back off the crossbar. I know you're going to say he should've been in a better position to start with. Just enjoy the murderers getting skelped. Link to comment

I know you're going to say he should've been in a better position to start with. Just enjoy the murderers getting skelped. It is incredibly harsh, but if you are critiquing a player with a legitimate claim to being the best defender in Europe, you absolutely have to be. He's nowhere when Messi picks up the ball... Matip gets dragged off Suarez, to close down Messi (Should have been VVD stepping up there, or at least swapping over to pick up Suarez). When Fabiano's tackle sends in Roberto, he's switched off, watching the ball. Then there's a little burst from Messi as soon as the shot is taken - he's immediately anticipating the follow-up. Also, sky keep coming up with this stat how nobody has dribbled past VVD this season. What about Gnabry in the recent Holland vs Germany match? He's turned VVD inside out, and tucked in the top seat! VVD nowhere near him! Link to comment
Zeus
Can only assume Messi has been watching the technique of Stevie May for that free kick. Delighted Liverpool got cuffed. Link to comment
