So looking at website says

nearly 16000 sold the now for Thursdays game (great)

But then goes on to say whats left in each stand only equalling 1500...

Does mean our capacity has been greatly reduced from around 22000 down to 17500 ????

Wheres the other 4000 odd seats ?

Real Sociedad have been allocated 2000+ as per the Europa League Rules - they are situated in the normal away section.

They are likely to bring around 500.

It is only worth a comment if we sell out before Thursday. If we sell out on Thursday then probably the right decision to put them there

Fair do's - still a difficult one for the club to deal with when all teams are allowed 10%+200. Needs very quick decision from opposition on guesstimate of how many seats they need.

Going by Premier Sports negotiations with RS then sounds like it was difficult to get quick fast decisions out of them,

I also don't understand this.

If the RS supporters get 2,000 seats then we're up to 19,500 (with an official capacity of 22,199).

Where are the other 2,699 seats?

What would have to happen for the official attendance to be 22,199 (or is that even possible?)

(Do corporates get counted at all?)

We'd have to get someone from celtic in to add up the figures

This is a problem with the current stadium. The way the away end is built there is no ability to reduce the number of seats given to the opposition regardless of how many they will bring. I think the away end holds 2300-2500 and as people have said there are always seats left empty for security reasons. Aberdeen have the potential to draw bigger crowds than 18,000 but the current layout does not accommodate this unless the away team brings a big support.
