mavv1903
So looking at website says nearly 16000 sold the now for Thursdays game (great) But then goes on to say whats left in each stand only equalling 1500... Does mean our capacity has been greatly reduced from around 22000 down to 17500 ???? Wheres the other 4000 odd seats ? Link to comment
StandFree1982
Away Fans end is over 1k. There will always be a few seats that they don't sell, even games that sell out the actual crowd is around 19k. Link to comment
Tord31
Real Sociedad have been allocated 2000+ as per the Europa League Rules - they are situated in the normal away section. They are likely to bring around 500. It is only worth a comment if we sell out before Thursday. If we sell out on Thursday then probably the right decision to put them there Link to comment
Tord31
Fair do's - still a difficult one for the club to deal with when all teams are allowed 10%+200. Needs very quick decision from opposition on guesstimate of how many seats they need. Going by Premier Sports negotiations with RS then sounds like it was difficult to get quick fast decisions out of them, Link to comment

If the RS supporters get 2,000 seats then we're up to 19,500 (with an official capacity of 22,199). Where are the other 2,699 seats? What would have to happen for the official attendance to be 22,199 (or is that even possible?) (Do corporates get counted at all?) Link to comment
Dynamo
Think capacity is more like 20500 or so. Every game that's been sold out is around that. Link to comment
minijc
Only 3 seats left in the Y and a small amount left for the rest of south stand, hopefully get a good atmosphere on the go but I doubt it. Link to comment

StandFree1982
There will be seats that they just don't sell for one reason or another. Some are broken, for example! Link to comment
Pudgie
They are also being very strict about not selling restricted view seats this season. Link to comment
StandFree1982
Our average gate this season must be well at least 16-17k Link to comment
MegaloDon
If they had built us a nice, larger new ground , like they promised... Well, they would be benefiting already.. Link to comment
Donmacca
In the away end there's always the block closest to the RDS empty. That might explain why the list sell outs at around 20,500 Link to comment
NorthernLights24
They are also being very strict about not selling restricted view seats this season. I read this somewhere before. Is there any particular reason for this and why weren't they being strict in previous seasons? Link to comment
Scotty_Toronto
Our average gate this season must be well at least 16-17k Up 4,000 from the previous season, and up 4,000 again! Link to comment
muttonhumper
Real Sociedad have been allocated 2000+ as per the Europa League Rules - they are situated in the normal away section. They're only entitled to 5% under EL rules. So wid be just over 1,000 depending on fitiver capacity we are following this wik...some affa variations gan aboot. Link to comment

MegaloDon
If they had some foresight , they could have put them in the main-stand like they used to. Link to comment

Redstar
Changed days in a very short time...at the height of his AFC Managerial career the GWT was lucky to break the 12k mark...remind me again... why is he on The Board? Link to comment
Scotty_Toronto
For his experience and connections? (I don't really know.) I'm happy that he signed Reynolds, McGinn, and Hayes though. 1 Link to comment
super_al
This is a problem with the current stadium. The way the away end is built there is no ability to reduce the number of seats given to the opposition regardless of how many they will bring. I think the away end holds 2300-2500 and as people have said there are always seats left empty for security reasons. Aberdeen have the potential to draw bigger crowds than 18,000 but the current layout does not accommodate this unless the away team brings a big support. Link to comment
ChutneyLove
Away fans need to go back in the paddock. Link to comment
Dynamo
We should be sticking the like of Hamilton in a section of the main stand. Link to comment
dave_min
I concur with that statement. Link to comment
