dj_bollocks
Anyone aware of this. So was thinking of buying a ticket to go and see Billy Connolly as I've yet to see him and let's face it, he's probably on some of your Celebrity Death Lists… So Ticketmaster doesn't say that they're all Sold Out but the only way to get them is via this "Get Me In" Partner website (run by them) so that you buy tickets, that look to be available, but I assume are from other people who now can't go, whilst they slap on a £25 "arrangement fee" for you to get the tickets... Surely a bit of a scam ? A somewhat dubious resale of tickets with an exorbitant fee slapped on for good measure… Anyone used this got any experience of it. I suppose if you really want to go to something it's possibly quite useful, but whiffs a bit pungently if you ask me... Link to comment
dj_bollocks
Just doing a bit more research and found this… Cunts... http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/topic/154486-bbc-watchdog-are-tick-ed-off-with-ticket-master/ Link to comment
NorthernLights24
I've not used Get Me In but I did use Vivagogo a couple of years ago. Paid £67 (think the face value was around £30) for a ticket to see The Devin Townsend Project at the Roundhouse in London. On top of that there was a £10.20 booking fee plus £9.95 for P&P. Felt a bit steep but I was desperate to get a ticket for it. Link to comment

Interestingly the tickets on offer are exactly the same as the ones on Get Me In - that can't be a coincidence… Their arrangement fee is £4 less at £21… I'll pop up to the venue today and see what they have to say. Also you can't buy individual tickets, has to be a pair… #whiffy Link to comment
Ron1903
Getmein are run by ticketmaster and are safe in that your tickets will turn up but they are a total scam. TM get admin fees from selling the ticket orignally, then someone sells on getmein, TM charge the seller 10% of what they get and add on £10ish per ticket to the buyer. They have also been caught keeping back tickets themselves and putting straight on Getmein so they get bigger fees. Best bet is to watch Gumtree the week or 2 before the gig and hope someone can't go and trying to sell them for face value or near face value. Always meet and exchange tickets for cash tho, don't be one of the idiots that do direct bank transfers to some random person 'promising' to post out the tickets. Link to comment

The reason will only be able to buy 2 tickets at a time will be because the person sellnig wont want left with a single ticket, the sellers can specify if tickets can be sold individually/as a pair etc..However the biggest croocks are when Viagogo/Getmein get tickets direct from the promoters and sell themselves on their own websites Link to comment

I did that a couple of years ago for Rockness tickets and worked out fine. Just pay with paypal and it'll be fine. Link to comment
