BillShankly
Anyone else think he's been let down by McInnes? Maybe not let down but hung out to dry abit. Played out of position for most of the season and clearly struggled. Then hooked on Friday when playing in his preferred position when everyone else in the whole ground could see that Taylor was the problem. I think Considine can do a decent job for us but only at centre half. McInnes doesnt seem to rate him though. Link to comment
ebbe
He's a better centre half than Taylor but a horrendous full back. Link to comment
Redstar
It's a bit like what happened with McArdle...a decent centre-back played as a full-back...remnants of that clown Brown's tenure... Link to comment
mavv1903
This season is going to pot lol.. Come on Anderson get fit and play till your 42...lol.. Considine a decent player if in correct position. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Yes If we're not going to play him in the middle we should let him go somewhere he can Link to comment
Donmacca
Taylor was bad last night but Considine was hiding for large periods of the first half last night which is unlike him Link to comment
a don in oz
At his age his career has been stuffed by people playing him out of position his entire career. Think that's really been shit to him and right now is unfair too. Glad he's getting a testimonial but think that's it then he's off. Hope he can create a career somewhere else with someone playing him as a CB finally. Link to comment
daytripping
Mcinnes is being found out, he's not the messiah and his signings have been cack. Winning the league cup is fuck all, what is it....4 games to win or something like that, Mickey mouse tournament that we fans celebrated like a World cup win, Scottish cup and second in the league should be the standard for us. Remember it's a marathon not a sprint The League Cup is admittedly Mickey Mouse, but no other cunt managed to win it, or anything else for that matter, in twenty years of trying, Remember he also took the club to the Scottish Cup semi-final, a bawhair from second place, and a VERY respectable performance in Europe. He also realised his balls ups with Zola and Wilde and got rid, while bringing in the likes of Goodwillie and Logan. He's got his faults, but just stop and think about who we've had managing this club in the past... more Clowns than the Moscow State Circus. 1 Link to comment

lukas989
If the three centre backs to choose from are Reynolds, Taylor and Andrew - all three should play (i.e a back three). Exactly the same dodginess was on display during the Dundee game - after we scored, they could and should have scored 3-4. Switched to three at the back and things calmed down. Any combination of two of the three (ie Reynolds plus whoever) isn't nearly secure enough. Especially when you throw in Langfield behind them, making them even more nervous. 3-5-2 I tell ye. strachanmcgheegoal
Agree he's been played out of position. Shame though that he was told he'd be on the bench to cover for Ando about 5 years ago and yet he's probably played the most games of anyone since. Would have been good for him to do a joe and go on loan for the experience. He couldn't of course because (whisper it) WE DONT HAVE A FUCKING LEFT BACK! Funnily enough though I can't decide if the outside left experiment with Hayes has actually helped or hindered him.(Hayes that is). From an Aberdeen perspective I can't help feeling it's allowed mcinnes to fit in McGinn on the right, when he bothers to turn up of course. Link to comment
Dynamo
Considine while not playing well, is not costing us goals unlike our other full back. Link to comment
barassie_afc
Oft a critic , but a cb he is better than taylor who appears to have no strength nor muscular definition Link to comment
dervish
Where's the Taylor GTF thread? We all know Consi played in position is at worst competiment. Fact is Deek should have got a LB... what a surprise!!! Link to comment

Site Sponsor RTYD Posted October 20, 2014 Site Sponsor Share Posted October 20, 2014 There was nothing wrong with the budget. Why was Brown signed if all he's doing is warming the bench, we'd have been as well just putting Rogers there. Link to comment

Don't understand the Brown signing either. Given McInnes previous with Zola and Wylde, I wonder if he'll be moved on come Christmas. In light of Clanger poor form this season, Brown must be total shite if he hasn't been given a chance yet. Link to comment
ebbe
Worrying how dependent we are on a 35 year old Russell Anderson. Even Reynolds looks timid and nervous just now. Link to comment
afc_blockhead
Considine was absolutely shite on Friday. As bad as Taylor IMO (who was obviously total pish). He gave the ball away needlessly on so many occasions to put pressure on the defence and was hiding (as someone else said) as much as he could. I accept what others are saying in that he is a centre back more than a left back but unfortunately even as a centre back he is shit most of the time. Link to comment

Presume we are paying Monakana something? Brown and Taylor appear to be some sort of a joke and Goodwillie though a good player, doesn't seem to be keen on scoring goals. There was nothing wrong with the budget. Why was Brown signed if all he's doing is warming the bench, we'd have been as well just putting Rogers there. He clearly doesn't rate Rogers after pumping on loan then signing the American dude Billington. northernlights
Its a pity what has happened to the defence this season, since last season we were a very solid unit. Logan has proven a very good addition to the team, since he is a genuine full-back with play-making and even goalscoring qualities. Every team in the top tiers should be able to field players in their correct positions with exceptions being made occasionally because of injuries or suspensions. We do have Clark Robertson injured just now although he too began his career as a CB? As it stands I think Considine is our best option at LB since Hayes is better utilised as a left-winger and is maybe our most creative player. We have lots of attacking options now and our squad is possibly the best in the league in that respect. Our problems are a lack of confidence now across the back 5 and an inability to pass the ball quickly and incisively in those areas whilst under pressure. We are really missing Anderson, but the loss of Michael Hector upset the balance of the team. This is why we struggled towards the end of last season. The ability to pass the ball effectively from back to front is so important and without a LB its particularly apparent. Hayes is being played there to help redress the balance. We still dont have the complete squad unfortunately... COYR! Link to comment
TwoStars
Be more inclined to call Joe back than wait for Robertson. Link to comment
tommo1903
Point 1 - Clark Robertson started his career as a left winger. Point 2 - Clark Robertson is pish Point 3 - Clark Robertson is a no voting twat. Point 4 - Michael Hector played Right-Back for us. He was a centre back. We replaced him with a right back. That didn't upset the balance of the team as much as it improved the team. Point 5 - If Michael Hector was not as good as he was made out to be. Definitely not better than Anderson or Reynolds and not better than having an actual right back. Link to comment
