BillShankly
Deserves a thread of his own. Best Dons striker since Duncan Shearer easily. The striker we have been crying out for since Shearer. Not just a goalscorer and great finisher but a real team player who does an absolute power of work. I remember him at Caley but didn't appreciate just how good he was until we signed him. Absolutely love him. 12 Link to comment
LeDandy
Agreed !! McInnes was looking for a big tough centre forward with a good touch and gets in among the goals , he took a risk on zola that didnt work , 6 months later he got the real mccoy in ROONEY !!!!! what a fucking player . dave_min
He's not even the best striker in the current Aberdeen team. Link to comment
tightbreeks
we've got the best rooney. he might just be the finisher that we've been needing for yonks. Link to comment
buchanskii
He wouldn't get much playing time in our 2011/12 strike force of Magennis, Chalali, Fallon, Mackie & Vernon. Link to comment
LeDandy
He's not even the best striker in the current Aberdeen team. Strikers get goals , he's got the most , what other criteria does the best striker at pittodrie have that puts him above Rooney in the current team ? Link to comment
Dandie1992
26 goals in 43 games? - 0.6 goals a game = Goalscorer 69 goals in 372 games - 0.18 goals a game = Darren Mackie If Rooney had played as many games for us as Mackie did ... he would have scored 223 goals... 1 Link to comment
360
He has a fair way to go to prove that he's a worthwhile replacement for Vernon. Link to comment

Jack_Glass
i think Rooney tops McGinn because he has more mental strength and self belief and scores........... a lot, excellent player, great pro and the best since Shearer. Link to comment
