Ke1t
Didna see a thread on this, if so just merge this... Fucking great news though. As much stick as McGinn gets the guy's a quality player. Might look a bit slow, lazy or disinterested, but I think that's just how his face naturally is. Seems like a monumental effort for him to configure a facial expression that isn't Sleepy, Puzzled, Worried, or Sad. Magic player, though. 4 Link to comment
fifered
Agreed. Brilliant news. McGinn is involved in a huge number of our goals, gets far too much stick on here. We're dangerously close to being well run just now. Link to comment

a don in oz
I'm miserable as hell at having had to say cheerio to my folks and fly back to Brisbane but having arrived here 2 hours ago and feeling jetlagged to hell this has put a bounce back into my step! Actually that's a lie. I'm sitting slouched in a chair with my feet up. So it's put an erection into my penis. How about that. Great news. Aye not the hardon: the contract extensions. 1 Link to comment

a don in oz
It definitely seems to haved improved somewhat the atmosphere. It's still not heaving but there is a greater response to action and people seem more united on the whole. Mind you that's probably ust wishful thinking. It was good though. Was at the Killie and Hamilton games and watched the United one via RedTV via VPN with my old man. And a Merry Christmas back to you Northern hemisphere folks. Link to comment

Sonoftherock
Great news. Two players with records that would easily win them a contract in English Football... but they've chosen to stay at Pittodrie. Probably not a coincidence that both have alread experienced life in the lower reaches of English football and realise that the grass isn't always greener! Hopefully the tide is changing... NorthernLights24
Great quotes today from McGinn and Rooney - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30590685 "Since I came here I've loved every moment, winning the trophy [League Cup], playing lots of football, getting my career back on track again," the Northern Irishman said. "It's helped with the international games as well, I've been involved a lot. Over the last few years it's been very exciting," added McGinn, who signed for Aberdeen in July 2012. "I'm over the moon. The gaffer pulled me in a couple of weeks ago and said there was another year for me, and it was a no brainer for me to get it done and dusted. "I'm just thankful to be at a good club and enjoying my football, it's a great time to be here." "It's been great since I came in here," the Irishman said. "I've really enjoyed my time and it's been a really good time for the club as well. It's been nothing but positive around the club and the city so I'm delighted to extend my deal." Compare that to the quotes from people who have come to our club and failed. The attitude of this squad is a million miles away from what it was a few years ago. This is a team that seem to be enjoying the pressure and expectations and want to thrive under it instead of using as an excuse. McInnes has clearly worked hard on fixing the atmosphere around the club and ensuring that this is a club that players not only want to sign for but want to stay as well. Link to comment

tightbreeks
i think that for far too long our managers have come in and immediately had no faith in our teams ability to take the game to the opposition. mcinnes seems like hes put the belief back into our team and set them up to win every league game, no matter who or where we're playing. much like strachan with scotland. 1 Link to comment
