Winning The Premier Is Possible

Recommended Posts

I have a strange feeling that after Celtic have dropped 2 pts at home today , the winning of the Premier League is possible . A lot of things are in our favour .

Celtic have the Europa League and I am not sure if they have the resilience which Lennon did instill in them .

I recall us winning in 1979/80 ? from an impossible position . We went to Celtic Park and beat Celtic and went on to win the league.

I know it is wishful thinking but I just have this hunch .

Septic have 2 games left in Europe - hardly a distraction… It's not without the realms of possibility, they're vulnerable to be sure, but we are still capable of a Clanger or two (even now he's dropped). Worth sticking a tenner on though...

If it looked like Celtic was going to finish second there would be an immediate restructuring of the league where Celtic are guaranteed to finish first, ie, an 11 - 1 split, where Celtic are awarded 3-0 victories for the rest of the season as they're the only team to turn up on match day.

Never underestimate the depth of corruption in Scottish football.

As kelt pointed out earlier, we annually shite ourselves. Tonight it will be a nice thought to get me through nightshift. Imagine that party min. What a carry on that last home game would be. But ultimately, they have a better squad than us and that'll prove decisive when were fielding smith etc to try and chase a game.

Let's not get carried away. We could end up getting hammered tomorrow and everyone suddenly thinks we're shite again.

IF we win tomorrow it gives us a great chance to really push Celtic. In the past we've seen Celtic / Rangers go on a run of x amount of wins and pull away from other teams. I am not totally convinced that Celtic will do that, but I don't see them dropping the same amount of points as they have done in the first half of the season so it will take a momumental effort from us.

like DM says its Celtics to lose. However, if things go our way i.e. Scott Brown get's injured and their strikers struggle to score then anything is possible. They don't have the skill or depth of previous Celtic teams. What we must do is be consistent and take some points off of Celtic when we play them.

I for one believe it is possible......

YES WE FLOCKING CAN!

Just the fact that this topic isn't laughed off the board is a sign of the improvements made since McInnes and Yule came in. A couple of seasons back and we were speculating about our chances of relegation or ever winning anything ever again.

We were beyond broke, had a succession of absolute tools in the manager's seat, there was no chance of investment, our players were a collection of the sulkiest, laziest, most overpaid, underperforming shitbags ever to wear the red and white of Aberdeen, and we were bearing down on two full decades without a single major trophy.

Changed days.

Let me go on record here and say that we'll win it. Thought we'd have win it last year but this year will do.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is a negative moron.

Did Fergie think we'd no chance of beating Real Madrid or winning the league in the 1980's?

Get a grip FFS.

League is winnable. Belief that you can do it is the key.

We'll smash 4 past Caley tomorrow.

Also being positive breeds success. We were miles behind in 1990-1991 but went on a mental winning run.

Alex fucking Smith fucked it with negativity.

Who'd think Mary Poppins was evil?

You think scared, you are scared.

Up the fucking dons.

Hark now here the dandies sing,

A king was born today,

The dons are going to win the league,

'Cause we've got Goodwillie.

It depends on the timing of Celtic dropping points. I think we could actually do with them having a decent January (as long as we do too), in order to lure them into the false security of thinking they don't need strengthen their squad too much or alternatively sack Deila.

We also need to make the most of our opportunities. We've been gifted a great one to bring the gap to two. We have to beat ICT tomorrow and beat them well.
