robbojunior
Agreed. If it was a league game fine, but a semi-final? "Better the devil you know", methinks. We did it with Logan. Straight in to the semi final. Look how that turned out. Link to comment
Clydeside_Sheep
We did it with Logan. Straight in to the semi final. Look how that turned out. True, but its far from an ideal scenario. Plus a CB likely has a bigger opportunity to cause a major balls up, than a full-back. Fingers crossed, then! Link to comment

Fingers crossed, then!I don't understand why you'd want to risk that same back four from St. Johnstone, unless you're suggesting putting Joe in at centre back? Not one person looked capable of putting in a solid performance with that specific line up of the back line. Considine's all round dodginess at centre back had Reynolds on edge, Hayes wasn't disciplined and Logan just looked lax. Then there's the issue of the midfield. Taking Hayes from centre mid and putting him at left back where he is unfamiliar at best, then replacing him with Flood, completely disadvantages us in a creative sense in the middle. Donvervon described himself in the RedTV interview as composed, good in the air and vocal. He came across as confident and said that big games motivated him. From what we know he was playing well in a bad side in the Championship. I think we have enough evidence to go on that starting him is the most astute thing to do this weekend. Surprised people think otherwise. 1 Link to comment
RAZOR
How do mothers come up with a name like Donervon? We could shorten it to "Don" - see what Ive done there? No, I don't get it. Can you explain? Link to comment

King Street Loon
I've just watched his interview on Redtv and despite having to field the usual push questions from the RTV crew he comes across well and seems quite driven to better himself and succeed. Link to comment

Surprised people think otherwise. I agree. I like the cut o' this boys jib. I am slightly nervous about pitching in a new CB at such a crucial time (in my opinion it's the worst position to fuck with), but out of all the options which have been discussed, as Sheeptastic says, this one appears the most astute. StandFree1982
Dundee United will have fuck all knowledge of the boy which should work in our advantage (unless of course he is either gash or has a nightmare game). Link to comment
G31DON
Hasn't played since Boxing day is a bit of a worry for me. Hopefully the front 6 will keep Utd on the back foot so he can stroll the match. Link to comment

Flood hadn't played for weeks and was drafted back in (bar some sparse mins as a sub). He'll have been training most the week. Get the loon fired in! Cannae risk Reynolds and Considine as our central pairing again and Hayes simply has to play in midfield. Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
If we don't get Shinnie in this window (& once Taylor gets back fit) I wonder if McInnes would be tempted to play three at the back & move Logan forward to right midfield.Hard to leave any of Reynolds, Taylor & the Don out of the side when all fit.
