NorthernLights24
Eircom League Premier Division champions Shelbourne have pulled out of the 2007 Setanta Cup. The Tolka Park side, reported to have serious financial problems, announced their withdrawal from the All-Ireland competition on Tuesday night. Another Dublin club, St Patrick's Athletic, are to take their place in Group Two which also includes Portadown, Dungannon Swifts and Cork. The cup begins on Monday, 26 February with all eight teams in action. Shelbourne were beaten finalists to Linfield when the competition was first staged in 2005. The current holders are Drogheda United who beat Cork City 1-0 after extra-time last April. Sold a lot of their players since the season ended and many believe Shelbourne will lose their place in the Irish league. Link to comment

baldrick_sheep
i would take romanov over di stefano. Romanov might be a complete idiot, but di stefano is a million times worse. I mind his interviews when he was sticking his nose in at dens park, pretty much everything he said was a complete lie. Link to comment
Jaws
Had to laugh when i saw who it was. They must be real desperate if they want to take this trumpet on board. I'm sure he'll make a good job of hammering the final nail in the coffin. Link to comment
