fine-n-dandy
Nae sure if the same rules will apply (probably will) as it's only Guffie football that's mentioned. Could affect Scottish player pool options also. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32024808 I think it's a good thing if it goes through. Especially the "home grown" players age limit dropping from 18 - 15 meaning players less likely to get poached from poorer clubs once they are establishing themselves.Opinions? Link to comment
Dandyesque
It would probably only affect the Glasgow teams negatively so therefore a good thing Link to comment

360
"FA chairman Greg Dyke has warned Premier League football is in danger of "having nothing to do with English people..."" Was this the same guy/organisation who was proposing a 39th game on foreign soil? Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
There's a bigger percentage of Guffs playing in Scottish top flight than in the Guffie top flight. It's one of the main causes of Scottish footballs decline into guffness. Link to comment

Rubinho Escocia
I think the main thing hindering Scottish football is the brutal coaches which seem to always find a job. Prime example this guy; http://sport.stv.tv/football/international/314939-real-madrids-jack-harper-is-a-luxury-player-says-scotland-u19-coach/ Anyway, I'm not sure that this will make much of an impact as clubs will sign players younger whilst most players are from the EU or become citizens elsewhere anyway. Old school dinosaur that Scottish football needs to eradicate from our coaching staff. Especially when he's got them at such a young & important stage of their development. baconman
There is no doubt that RS comments just shows how far behind we are compared to other countries. It wouldn't surprise me if he was one of the reasons Marc Wott left his position as development coach. I would think Brian McLair will be more of a modern thinking footballer and not tolerate RS attitude to developing our young players. If we lose this kid to Spain, after losing mcgeady and McCarthy then i hope someone high up in the game can challenge the SFA hierarchy and get rid of the backward thinking fuckwits preventing us from moving forward. We need all the help we can get and you don't get a 5 year contract at Real Madrid at 19 YO if you're shit! Link to comment
