What would be the most sensible option if we are to keep progressing?

Yes it's meaning we lose money but I think (in the long run) it's got to be worth it.

Find an experienced keeper who just wants game time. Redstar suggested Gilks previously. Someone of that ilk if they could be persuaded would be ideal. Don't know who is realistically out there in that bracket though.

The goalkeeping position strangely is the one that is forgotten about from managers points of view.

A good goalie will earn you plenty points, look at de Gea, Man United would be about 8th without him.

If we had to keep one, it would certainly be him (of the three) I'd want us to keep.

 

Rather than pay off three contracts I suppose but to actually improve I think we need all three gone. Least risk would be keeping him as No.2 until his contract expires. Saves a little cash I suppose.

 

Binning Clangers & Jimbo is not a great waste in wages though.

Voted to bin all three. If we can only afford to bin one then clangers must be the priority binning. Leighton would be next. He needs to make way for someone younger and better. We could keep Brown as back up keeper if we couldn't afford to bin him as well. The only problem with binning all three is that all we will have left between the posts is Danny Rogers. I know he is young but I'm not sure that he is up to the job either. According to Soccerbase by my calculations he appears to have conceded 64 goals in 31 games for Dumbarton. Their defence is clearly shite but it doesn't look like Rogers is the answer either. Therefore, if I was McInnes I would bin all four and get back to the drawing board.
