Can't argue with Strachans work but what he sees in James Forrest I don't know. Forrest is in every squad. Even sticking to the timothys I'd have GMS before Forrest.

Charlie Mulgrew straight in after being injured for months? UW0TM8

Pretty settled squad. Shame Reynolds has wormed his way in as he won't play and it would be better if he got a rest.

Missed an open goal on Friday. Mental.

Can't understand why matt Phillips isn't in the squad, top assist leader in the premier league in this calendar year, he's yet to play a competitive game for Scotland as he's only played in friendlies which means that England could yet come in and call him up to their squad

have to agree with that. What forrest has done to merit a place over Phillips I don't know.

Aye, i'm puzzled why this Englishman isn't in the Scotland squad too.

So very true; I resent these international kick abouts disrupting domestic football.

And is anyone else embarrassed we have a player (maloney) from "Chicago Fire" in our squad?

What the 39 cap'd Maloney, who has scored 4 goals in the last 7 months for Scotland, including the critical goals V Poland and Eire ? aye truly embarrassed...

Scotland squad is always a laugh. If Rhodes moves for £10m this summer as rumoured can guarantee he's in the squad for the september matches

Didn't help McCormack who moved for about 12 million

And I can't believe someone would be embarrassed by Shaun Maloney who has been Scotland's best player so far. Deflected winner against Georgia, scored against Poland, winner against Ireland, double against Gibraltar. Fuck the Tim's we'll just call him a cults loon

the same nonsense was said about GMS and Armstrong moving to Celtic yet their call up has yet to happen.

I am a Scotland fan, not one of these folk that can't support both club and country but it does always annoy the fuck out of me how certain folk are omitted and certain folk are always in squads regardless of form.

How is James Forest in the squad for example? And why is Rhodes not? Bit of a joke if you ask me.

I'm an Aberdeen fan & we've had some shite players getting games for us for years but it hasn't stopped me supporting Aberdeen.

Not sure who this is directed at, but I agree.

I support both Aberdeen and Scotland regardless of the dross they choose to play at any given time.

Good idea for Scotland to play Qatar before we play the Irish folk.

Accordion to some folk it's not very good preparation but in my opinion it will be just a wee team building exercise & will lead to a better result.

No point in fiddling about with the team too much. We have a decent team bass to go on from the last game.

Should be plenty of box action in this game. Good idea to tune in if you cannot make it.
