All New Redtv

Recommended Posts

£85 for the season? They do half season passes? Or just the month to month like the last redtv?

As for the new game coverage, I'm ecstatic about every home game being covered aswell as the odd away, and in HD! It was always frustrating having a spate of games being covered and getting used to it then nothing for weeks

Nope, it's only a one off (annual) purchase now. I used to do the monthly but only option was the full price. GBP85 (approx AUD170) going up to GBP90 in August.

edit: full of shit, yep there is the subscription. i just blocked it out since it is so much more than the annual.

Though it does translate right now to AUD170, that bit was right at least. :P

Just had a peek, one off payment of £85 or £8.99 a month

I'll just go for the annual subscription.

Also checked exchange rate, £85 is going for AU$130

Can't really begrudge that especially if it's staying within the club

The GBP85 is much closer to AUD170 than 130. I did mine via Mastercard and it came to AUD170.89. Even Google says the flat exchange rate is about 167.

There's also the option to pay it monthly @ £5.99.

Yeah I blocked it out because it's much more expensive (the International RedTV one is £8.99/m)

Great news I'll be seeing more games than I did when I was a season ticket holder... to be honest, it was probably a close run thing this season. I was quite happy with the number of games we got.

Yeah they picked up their game significantly this season with the amount of live games but all home games next season... very happy with that.

Is anyone else having a problem with the 5.99 subscription? It still thinks I'm a free member after signing up and giving payment details. This new Red TV isn't run by a Nigerian prince per chance is it?

EDIT:

It doesn't update your subscription status unless you manually log off and back in. If you're over zealous with the subscribing like me and hit the subscribe button again you'll end up with two subscriptions. This e-mail sorted me out right away though - redtv@sportsmediagb.com

Has anyone tried using a VPN or IP blocker to watch the away games on RedTV international while in the UK?

It didn't work on the old red tv because it used flash. In theory it should work with the new one if it's using html 5, which I assume it is if it works on mobile devices, however part of the subscription process requires you to have a postcode/zip code that is registered to the card you're using to pay. So unless you've got access to an international account already I think you'll struggle like.

The advertisement seemed to say if you travelled away for work often, which made me think they might accept a card from Scotland. Maybe they expect a card based in your other place of work...

I used my RedTV International while in the UK to watch a game with my old man. I used a freebie VPN service on my Mac to do so.

So *that* worked. I don't know if it only works if you've bought or subscribed with a non-UK card though.

Stop fleecing the club and get yourself down to Todders!

I've divulged information to club about this customer's secret, illegal account.

Renewed my Black and Gold ST last week and was told B&G get exclusive discount on the all new Red TV!

A fiver, a whole crisp, £5 discount :clangers2::ThumbsDown:

Probs won't bother getting it. Seems a bit much to pay for a local when you go to most games and when you need commentary radio usually covers it anyway. Highlights are on social media asap anyway

I think it was about 65 of your British Pounds last year.

Not sure.

Might not have been.

Hope that helps :)

Just typical of The Dons that, ripping off the armchair fan. I'd be better off buying a wheelchair, eating five packets of popping candy in a one-er, then getting someone to push me into the special section at the Paddock.

"Full match replays will be available to all users so you can catch up with the game at your leisure"

Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm a total soft cock these days - canna stay up in the middle of the night to watch games. Instead I set Setanta to record on the foxtel box, off to the scratcher, get rudely woken by the kids, hit play button and it's just like watching live. I'd like to bin Setanta and go back to red tv, but am worried that you wont be able to access the full replay without stumbling upon the score first.

If such a service was available, i'd be in. Can't be arsed staying up until end of games (either 2am or 4am). Too old, don't have the right drugs to do so and not that keen.
