dazzy_deff
A pal of mine has his own gin distillery and his gin seems to be well received by all and it's certainly selling well worldwide. Rock Rose Gin, distilled in Wick/Thurso. I don't drink gin but for those of you who do...give it a try. Link to comment

Rock Rose is one of those mentioned in the article actually - it's one of 3 I haven't tried yet so it's on the list… Looking forward to trying it. Link to comment

Scrumpy
do they also have a rum appreciation evening? They have rum evenings and whisky evenings. Not that I've ever attended any of said events - having an extensively educated and discerning palate, I know what I like and don't need to be taught anything about spirits Link to comment

Chewie37
I used to hate gin until I read an article about it being the best drink to have on flights. Had some on my first holiday to New York and got hooked. Hendricks and Edinburgh Gin are both good shouts, had a few litres of Bombay over the weekend cos it was on offer. I still prefer a good malt though Link to comment
dervish
Concur with in-flight beverage of choice. Unless they don't have a slice of lemon or at a push lime to go with it. Then they act like it's you fault when you chuck it over their incompetent faces. Link to comment
Chewie37
I punched my gin over by mistake on a BA flight to London City a couple of weekends ago. Felt like a proper fud with gin all over my lap, luckily I was almost done and they gave me another one pretty quick Link to comment
